That is why I do everything through Neteller. Why would you give an offshore sportsbook your checking account info? I don't trust these sportsbooks for shit, and this should teach you something. I am sure that Jack will fix it for you, but in the future use Neteller or some other method, rather than giving them your checking account info.

Seems like a good point, Buffalo. Even if they are totally honest & on the up & up, who knows what foreign -country- unsavory employee they may have mistakingly hired. Of course, those that send a check to them open themselves up for the same thing.

Dear Jack,

Greetings. The customer in question in one amongst many others who also
suffered this problem. Our Bank in Nevis generated an error that affected
several purchases within a 6-5 day time frame.
We have explained the situation to our customers in the best fashion
possible, informing those we came to know had been double, triple or four
times charged before they had contacted us and vice-versa.
All these additional charges will be reversed by the Bank, and this process
is currently still on-going. We've pleaded our customers to please wait the
time it would take for the bank to refund all excess charges.
We have also told them that if they send us a copy of their statement with
noticeable figure for fees on card overcharge, we will be reimbursing them
that amount as 5 dimes cash credit.
Let us know if there is any other way in which we can help through this
mediation.

Sincerely,

Matt

Jack,

If 5dimes is as good as they say they are, they should give all of these people some free plays. Just reimbursing them for the overage charges is bullshit. I thought 5dimes was better than that. Guess not.

you will definitely get your money back. it's unfortunate but an error by their bank, not them. i'm sure this is the last thing they wanted to happen. let us know when it's all straightened out.

Jack,

I understand that this was an error by their bank and it is not their fault, but that does not mean that they are not accountable for what happened. They should get compensation from their bank, and then they should give these people some free plays or some sort of other compensation. It really is bullshit.

Bigdog,

If they don't compensate you in some way then take your money out and use another book. There are plenty of books out there that will do more for you. I like them as a book, but it seems like there is always an issue with them.

Like all other sportsbooks, 5Dimes uses a 3rd party processor for its Visa/MC processing. This processor is responsible for accepting or declining all credit/debit card transactions. On Thursday September 15th, multiple charges were made to many 5Dimes customers' cards. These mistaken charges were identified and confirmed by our processor at the end of the day on Thursday. The charges and the funds did not appear in the 5Dimes statements from the 3rd party processor. If the charged amounts had appeared, 5Dimes could have credited all the amounts back to all of the customers immediately. However, 5Dimes cannot credit back a charge to a card when we have no record of a charge being made. We know improper charges were made, but at this time our processor has not confirmed which charges were improperly made. Although this credit card company is not part of 5Dimes, we do take responsibility for all improper charges made by any of our processors.
In the islands, where our processor is located, last Friday and this Monday were both bank holidays. Although the problem charges were made 5 days before, Tuesday was the first day the processing bank was open to look into the charges. The processor has had one full day to look into their error. We expect all credits to be issued today. That does mean it will happen, but that is what we have been told.
After all credits are issued, the bank will give us a complete list of all amounts credited. At that time we will contact each customer with a confirmation that their funds have been credited back. We will deal with each customer on a case by case basis to ensure proper compensation for all this hassel. Our processor has assured us they are taking the measures to insure these improper charges will never occur again. Any questions regarding this specific issue can be directed to info@5dimes.com subject: attention Mary
The 5Dimes team thanks all those for their understanding during this situaition.

BuffaloBill,
The worst part about this whole situation was my vacation was half way ruined because of these jackasses......you go to the ATM so you have cash for the night and it tells you there is no money in your account!!!! So needless to say we didn't go out that night because I needed to get to a computer and start calling my bank and then these jokers!!!
