5 Dimes Question

Talking with "Al" over at 5dimes this morning and he is telling me that on some games, the monelyine and game totals are "correlated" wagers and not allowed in the same parlay.

He said "some" games, but could not give me the criteria for which games were allowed and which weren't.

Anyone ever heard of not being able to bet the moneyline and game total in the same parlay:shrug:

I've done this numerous times at other books that I've used - I know 5dimes is supposed to be one of the best, this seemed odd to me

If anyone has any insight, I'd appreciate it.:0074

To clarify, it will allow me to do it if I don't move the line on the total at all, but if I move the line - it says the selections are not valid.

Correlated parlays are the ?holy grail? of sports betting ? finding and betting these almost guarantees a win. These are so dangerous that even small correlations (e.g. in MLB, playing the visitor with the over or the home team with the under) can gradually destroy a sportsbook. Sharp players identify these correlations and hoard the information along with the names of sportsbooks known to take action on these correlated bets...lots don't... If you try to make a parlay at a Sportsbook and their software rejects the play, there?s a good chance the play is correlated.
