I do agree that if Maynard had played for Surrey, Middlesex, Essex, Yorkshire or Lancashire he would have had a prolonged spell in the test team, but what I should have said was that he would no better than some ie: Crawley, Butcher and not that he was not good enough.

If Maynard was to play it's not going in a forward step but sideways which in past years is what England have done.

Well what I should say is that believe it or not, I am a fan of Maynard, he,s a far better one day player than test player and a strong case could be made for him to play for England in that sphere.

Good call on your rugby plays at the weekend. I will keep my mouth shut in future and leave it to you as you certainly know what you are doing.

Although Australia still require to score 350 to win, it is still only 4 runs an over. If there is one team that can do it, it is Australia. I know that they are three wickets down and all three are front line bowlers, but the oitch is flat when the ball gets 20 overs old as it is right now. Heck, even England batted well in their second innings.

On the plus side for Australia they still have their two centurions from the first innings and no one would like the challenge more than Waugh and Gilchrist.

I am making one further play before the start of the last day and this is because I am in a no lose situation, having backed England at 12/1 and layed Australia.

I am playing Australia to win 5th test at 9/1 for 1 point.

This play is recommended to only those of you that have followed my outright plays.

NEWSFLASH..........NEWSFLASH.........NEWSFLASH..............

DATELINE: SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
English Cricket team finally have a victory over Australian juggernaut. Poms back in the old dart can't believe it. People seen dancing in the streets...openly sobbing with glee!!!

....nahh.......seriously though....a great effort by the pommys to turn things around and beat us in the 5th Test in Sydney, even though it was a dead rubber. Well done ol' chaps!!!! :D

The One dayers continue on Thursday, but by then I will be sunning myself up on the Barrier Reef with the wife and kidneys!!
Yep...taking a month off to freshen up for a big AFL season.
So good luck to all with the cricket and rugby punting and I'll catch you all back in Feb.

Have a great holiday Pawaqatsi on the barrier reef.

I had the pleasure of spending three days there when I spent 3 months out in Australia during your bi-centinual of 1988.

Would love to live out in Australia but unless I got a sponsor from a company (which I don't want to give up the betting for a living) I have no chance. Other option is marry a "shiela", but most of them look like blokes. God, did you see those woman in the TV series "Prisoner cell block H".

Great test match forum's and by looking back over all the five threads, everyone has made money. That's great news. Thank you Pawaqatsi, Boris, Pumpkin, Anders, Crooky, and our American friends who all contributed to these posts. Our hard work was not in vain.

My final score was +5.00 points for 5th test, +1.75 points on anti post market, + 47.36 points from first four tests. Resulting in a grand total of 53.11 POINTS PROFIT.

This was way beyond my wildest expectations as a good series for me would have been winning 12 points.

I am really looking forward to your post on Aussie rules Pawaqatsi as I have been told this is your area of expertise, so hopefully you can make this pommy some money.

THANKS GUYS AND THIS IS FROM ME TO YOU ALL. YOU ALL DONE A GREAT JOB.

I think you might be generalising just abit there.
Plenty of good sorts Down Under my man :thefinger
If not, why do you poms go 'ape droppings' over all the chicks off Neighbours and Home & Away???? They seem to spend more time in England doing pantos than down here.

Not every chick looks like "the Freak"

Pawaqatsi only joking about the girls down under. Agree some of them real good. Neighbours, Home and Away never watch. However I will say that Kylie has blossomed in the last few years. No paper bag job over the head needed there.:thumb:

Kickserv, never been to Canada, I found Chicago bloody cold in the winter so Canada must be even colder. Gos if you ever had sex outside, one of two things would happen.

(a) So damn cold it would shrival,
(b) If manage to get a bone on then likely to snap in two with the frost and ice.
