YYZ, people are working for what they want. Cell phones, plasma tvs, more car than they can afford. So, they need help from the government because they don't want to pay their share to have insurance.
I know this isn't always the case but I promise you there are more people without healthcare than there are without cell phones.
Don't I know it.
I work with a very nice young lady. She's in her mid 30's now, but is pretty much raising three kids on her own.
She was bitching about something the other night, and I said some "conservative" crap she didn't want to hear, and she said, "Most people are one paycheck from being homeless, Eric!"
I said, "No, Shelley......they're not."
Now, I understand we have people like that, and in this country, that is sad as shit. But she makes over $20 an hour, and has great insurance and a great retirement plan, and is crying about how bad she has it. Now.....listen to this:
She orders out food at work half the nights she is there, or brings in Subway, or whatever. She has a cell phone she is constantly on.
She turns down overtime left and right!!!!!
.......and wants to cry to me about how bad her fucking life is???????
But, yeah. She's another one who will just sit there until someone makes it all better.
