just so you know GW, the deficit is the current shorfall of the US budget. The US debt is total amount currently owed. The US was in a budget surplus when Bush took office with a total debt of around 3.5 trillion. When Bush left office it 11 trillion+. I do not support the outrageous deficit spending by Obama, but this disturbing trend did not start 8 mos ago.
I doubt you'll get a reply from Weasel on this Jabbers. Certainly not one acknowledging that Bush TRIPLED the National Debt in 8 years. I don't think ANY sane person would be comfortable with the spending that's occurred since the financial meltdown last year but to a certain extent, Obama's playing the hand he was dealt. Is he playing it correctly? No one "knows" but it seems everyone has an "opinion".

Yeah Trench, I certainly do not know. I do know that Obama inherited a financial meltdown and many economists (Paul Krugman for one) if of the opinion that the steps taken were necessary to prevent a total economic meltdown. But of course, on Jan 21st it become all Obama's fault.

GW used to love to harp on "Bush Derangement Syndrome"...oh the irony. As I said, these guys are a laugh riot.
