Without making any judgements on those who celebrate Halloween, we do not celebrate or participate in this holiday. We?ve tried many things over the years to politely and gently deter our young neighbors without hampering their fun - without success.

I do have a suggestion and wanted to know what people thought of it (the suggestion, not debating Trick-or-Treating!).

What if I found a cute cartoons that people could print out to put on their door if they DON?T want their bell rung? (We don?t want to turn off our lights - that doesn?t work anyway.) OR I could find one that said Trick or Treat with a pumpkin so parents and kids knew trick or treaters were welcomed? I could put them in the files if the group or even just print a bunch off and people could pick them up at our house.

Again, I?m not passing judgement on anyone and hope you will do the same. We just don?t want our doorbell rung all night.
