Got hit twice by sharde payouts myself this week :(

Doyle was in a three-way tie for the last place position (5th) so your final payout was divided by three.

So for $10 each-way,

The $10 on Doyle to win lost

The $10 on Doyle to finish in the top-5 won at (($10 * 16/4) + $10)/3 = $16.67

You seem to get everyone's share of these ties DTB

Stan would that make it - 1.33 units on week for the 2 plays?

One that didn't get away at 365 was coat tail on your Cruse selection:)
But I have horredous luck @ Surrey & Sportingbet on ties. The worst beat of all coming last year in this weeks Nissan Open open with Tway and Sluman E/W @ SB (4places) Both in playoff for 1st (6 way) and I made squat.:(

DTB,

Each Way bets involving Dead Heats

The stake is multiplied by:

number of places paid (divided by) number of dead heaters

then applied at the full odds.

For example:
You have ?1 each way on a golfer at 20/1, 1/4 odds 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5
There is a winner, second & third, then your selection finishes in a four way tie for fourth.
Your ?1 stake is multiplied by:
2 ( places paid are 4th & 5th) divided by 4 ( four players in the tie)
so your ?1 stake drops to 50p....?1 x (2/4) = ?1 x 0.5 = 50p
The stake is then applied at the full odds of 20/1 @ 1/4 = 20/4 = 5/1 so the return is ?3
