that went exactly as i thought it would.

;)

Props to Ghost Kid and Romi, you never wavered for a second. Zerwas caught a nice winner too.

I thought Golota had a good chance if he could survive the first few, but I was wrong, Adamek had great composure and discipline.

Thx NJ. ALways easy to say EASY money after the fact but I was pretty confident of that one. There are a lot of Golota fans out there that still believed in him and it kind of baffles me. The guy could never deal with adversity and I knew Adamek would provide plenty of it.

Golota is one STANGE dude. I read somewhere that he beat the shit out of a guy in a bar then stripped him of his clothes...WTF? The guy is the epitome of a Polish joke.

Don King told an interesting story about Golota at one of his press conferences. He said that this was at the time when none of the other big promoters wanted to touch Golota (for obvious reasons). King, very well aware of Golota's propensity for craziness, said he told Golota: "I can do something with you and I can bring you back but you must promise that you won't do anything that's going to embarrass me." King said that Golota assured him he wouldn't.

King did indeed get Golota two title fights and I will say this for Golota, since signing with King he never to my knowledge did any fouling in the ring and nor were there any outrageous quit jobs (photos taken after the loss to Ray Austin showed extensive and deep bruising to Golota's arm, and it looked very much like a muscle or tendon had been torn). Golota showed some guts against Mollo and he took his lumps against Adamek.

Golota had/has kind of a weird sense of humour. At one of the press conferences he deadpanned: "I don't know why people always say 'dirty fighter', I take shower two times a day."

He had good support in the crowd in Poland. You can almost understand why people like the big guy.
