the land of confusion
Was wondering when Beasty would show his head in here. Good to hear from ya brother!!

I agree with the Carlton pick. I just can't see my guys shutting down the big Fev and his buddy Lance. Unless Archer takes his head off in the 1st quarter, Fev will probably kick 6-8 goals. Enough for a solid win and cover the spread. I'm heading out there today for my dose of pain!! :chairshot

1837.....check out thescore.com.au for live scores of AFL, NRL & Union. A handy site if you bet on these codes. All on one page. ;)

A tough start to the season without Lloyd, Bomber. Ya better hope you can reel in some games when he returns.

My guys did shut down Fevola after all and chalked up a good win to start the season off. Always grouse to watch Carlton supporters leave the stadium after a loss!!

Port shafted us all. Looks like the defection of Carr to join his brother paid dividends as they tore Port apart.

Wow...Did Port look horrible or what?!

First half their forward line looked disorganised (as opposed to disfunctional!), but playing so poorly and only a goal down at HT, I honestly thought they'd run away with it.

5 minutes later they'd been robbed of a goal (Wanganeeen's) and Freo were 4 goals up!!
The umpiring in the 3rd was some of THE worst I have ever seen!...It was like the umpires were getting paid by the decision!
(Port got an equally good run in the last tho), but Freo had more numbers to the ball all night, and Port were gone as soon as Tredrea appeared at half back before 3/4 time.

Oh well...Hoping the Hawks get up today, and the Doggies can keep me in the race for a free scarf! :D

PAWA....It's time for you to write a letter to your local councilor mate...Hawthorn did their best to take the Melbourne Comedy Show to Sydney today, and I don't think you locals should stand for it!

My god, were they awful!!...Funny, but only in that train wreck kinda way.

If there is a stat for kicks backwards, then Hawthorn are leading! Stupid free kicks, hmmm...close b/w Primus, Francou and the Hawks, tbh.
Selection dramas? Well....we have nothing up forward so we'll leave Barker out who had 21 possies, 9 marks and a goal v. the Saints out of the side.
Actually...we'll go for the worst line in fooyty....yep, Sewell, Hay and Croad should do it! :D

Cheer up bomber...you have one win at least!! (Alright two...Richmond were their same old!)

Side note....Anyone that can pick the winner of Hawthorn/Richmond next week wins a bonus prize of some sort??

Yeah...they were pretty bad alright. I Thought Sydney Under 39.5 was a good thing....until about half way through the second quarter!!

I was looking ahead at next weeks games and laughed when I saw the Hawks v Tigers match-up. Who in their right mind would go near that one??!! :mj07:

Early days. Small stakes until thing settle down abit.

Will be cheering on your Bulldogs tomorrow versus the Magpie scum.

Nice win by your dogs today christo! Must be the first game they've run out thru the last quarter in about a decade! Would have liked to have seen it but was swayed to the beach to stare at some ripe uncovered melons instead! What could I do!
You're right paw, long start to the season without Lloydy! I hate to think that the dons are a one man team when going forward but the truth is exposed when he's not in the square. 0-1 to start the season and really can't believe that port looked as bad as they did. Bring on the blues!

Yeah. Fantastic to watch, bomber....Right up there with boobs tbh!!

Eade concentrated on fitness more then ever over pre-season, given our end of quarter fade-outs, so happy to see it's all coming together.
Grant and Harris both did superb jobs on Rocca and Tarrant....Still quite concerned about our forward line tho.

Anyway, hopefully that performance will shorten us a bit for next week....Melbourne will pump us.
