Pawa, I have to agree that was one of the worst games ever and I was at the ground to watch it. Roos 1.8 to Adelaide 0.10 at half time. Unbelivable.

There was bit of dew on the ground but absolutely no wind which makes even harder to understand the bad play especially the goal kicking of both teams.

Despite all this an Adelaide win, after last weeks embarrassment, is still something to get excited over as there may not be any more wins this year.

Think you may have missed the boat on Port UT-L.

Backed from 1.60 into 1.37

Still -12.5 (1.85) @ Oly
-10.5 (1.76ish @ Betfair)

Up as high as -17.5 now here in Oz.

Round 18 Play
Port -18.5 d Essendon (2 Units)
I know I missed the earlier lines on this game but still think there is value on Port.

Longhorn, I expect Brisbane to win but Sydney have performed the best of nearly any side against them in recent years.

lloyd is out apparently with a hip strain and hird all most certain to be out along with mcphee.

I just copied and pasted that off an AFL forum.

Would explain the big betting plunge??

Sure hope it's right.

Oh, and **** Richmond!! Richo 2.6 and 1 out on the full. Ottens leave just before HT with an ankle...Pettifer lasts about 5 minutes.
Horribly unlucky...and to be fair to the Tiges, they WERE some decent value....even if they burnt me. :(

Both Key Essendon players UT....BIG losses and explains the plunge.
Go Port!!! Carve the Dons up!!

Freo getting the win and some more 'express' $'s back. It is certainly climbing off the mat! Geelong tomorrow to keep the fightback on course.

rare to see such strong home teams (bombers and swans) getting double digit starts at home ... lines probably over inflated, partly due to punters backing port and brissy every week (in multis etc)

Was very disappointed with Port tonight especially after I heard that Hird was out just before the match.

Who would have predicted that after Brisbane beat Adelaide by 141 that the following week Adelaide win and Brisbane lose.

Pawa, Chances are low of any more upsets as I can't see Hawthorn or Bulldogs pulling off an upset and a St Kilda win would not be described as an upset.

Sunday Plays
Geelong -6.5 d St Kilda
Melbourne -47.5 d Hawthorn

Beast, Christo or PAW--

of the two big favorites playing today, which do you see of the two winning the easiest? Melbourne or West Coast? Are either at home?

Melbourne will definitely win their game easier if all continues to go according to plan. The game should be at the MCG which gives no team home ground advantage as they both play there.
Shocked that the dons beat port last night as I'm sure we all were. Sheeds must have fired the boys up pretty well.
It seems like it has been the first weekend in a while where there have been some solid upsets. See if the trend continues tomorrow.

Yeah....Hial and strong, gusty, squally winds in Perth.

Dogs into +42.5....Like having the +45.5

Perfect day in Melbourne....Would be astounded to see the Hawks get up....Still, can't see ANY value at all in taking Melbourne @ 1.07!!

Let's hope Geelong get up, save a poor weekend!

Well..what a ****ed up w'end that was.

1-3 (-3.1) with 2 plays missing by a kick. (Although admittedly geelong covering by the mere 1.5...Although they did have 7 more shots!!)

Absolutely hope the Hawks/Dogs game is at least a PK.
Doggies could not beat egss atm.

Freo and Geelong give the system a 2-0 weekend continuing the resurgence.
'Strong plays' go 3-2 (2-3 ATS) to sit at 27-13 / 25-15 ATS.

My Roos are shot for a finals chance now that Essendon and Sydney pulled the upset wins and go clear while we drop the game we should have won.

The Geelong v St.Kilda game was a great physical contest. The Cats might just do some damage come September!!!
