redsfan and mrshoes (gotta wonder about that name!! :D )

As Souza mentions.....'Team B Under 39.5' simply means that that team must win, but by no more than 39 points. Its a good way of upping the price if you are fairly confident of a particular team winning, but you expect that they won't 'hammer' the opposition that they are playing.
Adelaide, for example, are paying $2.35 Under 39.5 points and $2.20 Over 39.5 points. Books are saying that Adelaide are more likely to 'smack the bejesus' out of St. Kilda. I agree with them.

I get these 'margin' bets with my local TAB Sportsbet account and Canbet also offer the same. I would recommend Canbet for AFL betting as a 'must have' account. I think the other 'Down Under' boys can chip in with other books that have the margin options.

The Pawamech express is only running on 'line bets' so its not that important to find 'margin' betting. Will also be running a small 'dog only' system off the back of the train. A caboose if you will that has shown some good numbers. Kicks off next week!! :burnout :burnout :burnout

I'm buying into your strategy Pawaqatsi.
I got down on Brisbane ML, and Adalaide.
Also went light on the Roos, and Essendon
both 1-39.

CanBet really is a 'must have" as far
as online sportsbooks are concerned.

fire away....:firing: :bigun:

yep....Think the Doggies get it done easily enough on Sunday, bomber.
Richmond won only 1/5 games at the Dome last year (Sydney by 6!). The fast surface really accentuates their lack of pace and skill...ie. if kicks aren't spot on opp. players are more likely to get there and spoil.
I guess the + side for them is the lack of wind which will help Richo kick straight!!....I guess there is some risk of him having a big one without Grant, Croft or Harrison, but I doubt very much whether he will have a great deal of oppertunity.
'We' ;) out-possessed Geelong by nearly 100 last week, so I'm sure we can control the midfield. (Besides Kretiuk, Bassett and Robbins didn't play in their last meeting.).
Won 6 of 9 since '97...so very confident.

PAWA.....Don't be so sure you can't blow the Pussies out!
As you well know, you won down there last season by 64!! Geelong have lost Burns, Clarke, Shell and Harley from that side and gained Sanderson, Gardiner and Grgic.

You blokes on the other hand lose Pickett (no loss at all!) Archer and Spider....But gain Harvey!!! Baird (who was SUPERB last week!), Watt, Brown and Colbert!!!
Arguably a MUCH stronger combination!!

Harley out will hurt Geelongs chances of holding Diggers, Petrie and Rocca.
Colbert and Brown should be able to hold Mooney and Kingley.
Really like the Kanga's, and I sure hope they don't get too carried away then for your sake ;)

Every chance I'll be at the Hawthorn/Eagles game....Will be wearing my Doggies top.....and likely to be the guy who runs on to knee-cap Crawford if the Hawks look like winning :D

Good Luck gang

Is it a joke or are the saints up 4 goals at half time over the crows
and had the crows not rallied late in the half, should have been down about 6-7 goals. Are they throwing the match like cronje in his prime?

England, u.k.
Well I have just been to find some results and as of now it's 3 from 3.

All you Aussie's saying Carlton couldn't get within 70 points or they won't live with Collingwood. This line was out and suckered in all those that thought it would be one sided. My mate said Collingwood would win by three goals (18 points).

Game two was Essendon on moneyline and laying 6.5 points. Well another two comfortable winners there.

Let's see how the rest get on.

sunday afl games

Very keen on the Weagles today.I went to the 'g last week and thought that Hawthorn where extremly lucky to get so close. There is no doubt that the Wizard cup format, with shorter quaters and more bench ,played a large part in the demons putting the que in the rack early.
The only concern is that teams often start the next match in the same manner that they finished the previuos week so it is vital that WCE ore 'on ' early.

WCE where very strong last week and the BRIS/PORT game has made the form look very good.

5 UNIT PLAY WCE TO BEAT HAW ML $1.90

2 UNIT PLAY WCE/WB $3.70

1 UNIT PLAY WCE/WB/KANG $7.00

My concern is that if West Coast Eagles follow last years form, where they only won 2 games away from Perth, the Hawks will tear them apart like canarys!!!
West Coast were a real 'Jekyl & Hyde' last year. Prefer to see if they have improved.

Good luck to you mate

:D

Like the Eagles myself.

They have a shocking away record, no doubt, but the + is that Hawthorn only beat Freo on this ground by 10 last year (same scoring shots) and Freo travel (and are generally!) worse than WC!!
Eagles getting a direct flight from Perth to Launceston.
Don't see how Hawthorn will score enough goals to win.

pgb, the MAJOR reason they finished so strongly was one P. Everitt. Took the game apart on his own.

West Coast win and Gardiner picks up his second BOG in 2 weeks ;)

With you on West coast Mr Cristo. Everitts exclusion and cousins inclusion may prove pivotal. Hope for our sake that this is the case.

3 - 1 on plays with Brisbane Lions scrapping in by the .5 point (would be nice if a player actually has a shot at goal from the 50 instead of turning around and kicking backwards in the final seconds!!! costing a few people). My Kangaroos comfortably home under the margin. Essendon going a little too close for comfort to the margin but a win none the less. The only blemish (which caught everyone out) was the upset win by St. Kilda over Adelaide!! ( I managed to buy the Saints back @ $1.95 at halftime and I would recommend to do it at any required opportunity, given that teams leading at the half, go on to win 80% of the time ;) )

History repeats itself with the Eagles incapable of victory away from home. Just stay away from them when playing away until they can prove otherwise....

Season to date: 4 - 1 +7.35u

Adelaide Australia
Round 4 Result: 3-4

Year to Date: 4-6

Lucky to escape with a 3-4 round after being 1-4 after Saturday.

Pawaqatsi, have to agree with the kicking backwards, was yelling at the TV when I needed a point for Brisbane to cover. At the time that result dropped me to 1-4 for the weekend but in the end cost me a profitable weekend on AFL.

And in addition to the above I want to add the importance of shopping for lines. Over the past 3 weeks I have had 7 games in NRL and AFL decided by half a point and have gone 2-5 in these games (I know these results are supposed to even out over time but it doesn't feel like it at the moment) Had I shopped around a bit more I may been able to find better lines and turn 2-5 into 5-4 or 4-5.

Mr Cristo. Your dogs must have laid down from about the 20 min. mark of the 3rd term. Couldn't believe the way richmond ran that game out. Must be the first time they have done that since their last premiership! Oh well, the train takes off this week so we can breathe a little easier.

Yeah, bomber....made me wonder too.......

Doggies fade late....Geelong fade late.....Both played @ Colonial (Dome  ) last week where all teams saying it takes longer to recover because of harder surface..........see where I'm coming from here??

Dunno, might have no relavence what so-ever, but definately worth keeping an eye on, I think. ;)
