Geez last round before the finals and alot to still be finalised around the makeup of the Top 8.

Going to take the points on the 4 largest outsiders this weekend:

Collingwood +39.5 vs Wstn Bulldogs (2 units)
Hawthorn +30.5 vs Sydney (2 units)
Richmond +26.5 vs Geelong
Carlton +34.5 vs Kangaroos (2 units)

Also going to add a play on the West Coast to win the flag - with their record at Subiaco I expect them to be there on Grand Final day - still not convinced about their ability to win in Melbourne but would be surprised if they started much over $2.00 on Grand Final day.

Yeah....a BIG final round of AFL action this week with the final makeup of the top 8 still to be decided. Of course a few teams on the bottom don't want to win this last round so they can claim the extra draft picks!!

I'm taking a multi with Western Bulldogs to hammer Collingwood and keep their slim finals hopes alive, an injury riddled Saints @ home to just get over Brisbane, Port @ home to shatter Freo's finals dreams and my Kangaroos to hand Carlton their first wooden spoon since 2002!!

WBulldogs / St.Kilda / Port / Roos @ $2.15

A pretty safe combo me thinks.

Would have thought West Coast back on home turf should be a safe bet @ $1.50 against Adelaide but my system shows the Crows in with a big chance to upset and claim top spot and the minor Premiership.

Glad I wasn't involved in the Dogs game....out to a 40 point lead within 15 minutes then about 100 minutes of toing and froing.
Bad luck in the end Cartman.

I reckon I'll have a little go at Port/Saints/Geelong @ 2.15ish.

I honesty think Carlton are a chance!!! In the last 5 games they've gone inside 50 way more times than the Roos. Had more shots, better forward conversion...the whole works really!

Probably won't take them tho, I'd feel like a complete moron if they came out and played like they did last week again!

LMAO! Althought Fev hasn't made a significant difference to the Carlton outfit this year it still leaves one less key forward to kick to. Can't see the blues figuring in the game tomorrow myself.
How about the crows stealing the minor premiership from the eagles today? I think this makes the finals set up that much better for a few reasons. The swans record at AAMI against the crows of late has been ordinary at best and although they still have to travel west to meet the eagles, I think it shapes up better for them all things considered. Also, the saints/crows match should be an absolute ripper over there in SA. Had a feeling right from the first bounce that brissy may have been in for a long night. Funny how quickly things change in a season of footy. Taking the dons +12.5 tomorrow for shits and giggles.

Seriously...Fevola?? Honestly, have you guys been watching any footy over the last 3-4 weeks?
I'm not saying Carlton will win, but he (fev) has been 50% at best for a month with groin troubles.
Deluca is a good in for them. Forward line of Fisher, Waite, Davies, Morrel, Deluca, Lappin is as good as you will see from this team.
I reckon Whitnall can take Sav, Thornton will get Thompson, so it will be upto the middle, where, surprisingly (??) Carlton aren't as bad as they look, and the Kanga's are FAR from as good as they look! (Hope that made sense!).
After Hawthorn "blew" last week I can't expect the Blues to win, but if they have a go, I really think they're in this one up to their eye-balls!...Seriously, I do!!

LOL!!! Yeah, fair point, but your Kangaroos' defense is pretty bad. Over the last 5 they have allowed a goal every 3.19 entries into the 50...which is 4th worse, behind Collingwood, Richmond and Carlton....and that is the only stat that I have that shows the Kanga's having an advantage!! :scared

35 points is a lot for a team who leak goals.....

I had a feeling when I logged on here this morning that you would see you ranting about the dons getting up christo. I hope for your sake and mine that they sneak past melbourne and make a more interesting first week of finals- especially considering the doggies would have to face the roos in what would be a great game. If the boys come out to play today, and having owned melbourne in recent times, they can definitely get the 'W'. Depends what team shows up! Hey paw, would be more than happy to put my hand up for the same comp betwen the three of us next year buddy and with a few of the youngsters coming through at bomberland, I'm confident we can be a little more competitive next season. Do you guys have the dons/dees game on TV down there live?? Not on in QLD till 8:30 tonight- not happy! Hope the dons take care of business today and lead the boys from footscray in to the finals as I know you will be somewhat concerned leading in to next weeks elimination final paw. Christo, we gave it a shot buddy! A couple of chances when the momentum was in the dons favour went begging late in that game at the dees thru robertson ease on in to the 8. Shaping up to be a solid finals series but can't see the any of the teams from 5-8 giving it any kind of run. Looking forward to next week- and next season for that matter! BTW, talking about commentary that gets you in to the game BJ, ol' Brian Taylor must have just about had a heart attack midway through the final quarter of the dons/dees game. Definitely gets the spectator into the game when the commentators are right in to it. Any of you guys miss Bruce??

Seriously...Port/Kangas, Melbourne/Geelong...are they not two of the worst finals games in the last 10 years!!!

The Bombers had every show in the world....came down to a bit of luck really in the end with Robbo's last goal bouncing side-ways to seal it. (When a quarter earlier Hird's shot from the boundary somehow managed to bounce straight across the face! :cursin: )
Oh, and the sooner the players learn the rles the better...Peverill, PUT THE ****ING BALL ON THE GROUND TO STOP THE CLOCK!!!! Then you don't have to run back and rush a shot and waste 30 seconds.....

But anyway!

Cangrats to you and your boys PAWA, us losers deserve every little barb that comes our way. I'm fully expecting to be the one handing them out in the next couple of years....not sure where that leaves you tho bomber!

Thank God that season is over anyway....Wouldn't be able to afford your 'present' if it went on much longer! :mj14:
