AFL Week 4

Pretty confident the Dogies get absolutely pole-axed this week, bomber.
WAY to much running ability for us plodders. Thompson will have a big game. Rawlings will kick poorly again....If he even plays. (Grant still has a slight doubt too.)
At this stage I'll be on the Hawks @ 1.65.

Good luck with that PAWA!!!...Actually like Richmond to get up. But I'm not in great tipping form! :shrug:

Just when you think you've seen it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a little bet on the game total (@ Centrebet). Effectively got 1.80 for the Richmond/Geelong total to be under 200.

Get this!!! (Sorry for those who saw it!). 2.40 to play. Total is 196. Ball hit's the Richmond goal post but the umpire doesn't realise....play goes on and he gives a free kick to Richmond dead in front!
BUT....By now the goal umpire has caught up with the ump and told him it was a point. Good. Sanity prevails. All is well....

Well **** ME SILLY!!!!...The ump awards the point....But still gives the free kick, that happened a good 10 seconds after the ball hit the post!!!!!!!!!!!!

A ****ING 7 POINT PLAY!! FOR NO REASON!!!!

Simply because the ego-****ing-maniacle umpire didn't want to be proved wrong by a goal ump!! What a **** bag.

Sorry for the rant. Had a coupld of ales....But simply cannot believe I've just seen the WORST, most pointless decision in history!!
On a good note, it was pretty funny to hear the Geelong supporters booo the umpires for the nest 2 minutes even tho they were 40 points up!! :thefinger

I saw that on the highlights of the game Christo....some weird chit huh?!! Mind you.....they still had 2 and a half to play so you were still going to struggle with sub 200!!
Cats tore Richmond a new one and I'd be surprised if Coach Frawley survives the week at Tigerland.

Watched St. Kilda beat Adelaide in their own yard for only the second time ever. In the process screwing both final legs of my multis.

Saints are genuine top 4 material and if my guys get over Sydney tomorrow.....It'll be a 'top of the ladder' clash with the Sainters next week.

Davis and O'Loughlan out for the Swans will make it difficult to beat the Roos.

Go have another beer Christo......practise for watching your Bulldogs getting belted again tomorrow by the Hawks. You don't want to be conscious for that one!!

What a shocking round this is turning into.

My team Adelaide lose and drop to 0-4 and my betting for this round stands at 0-3 with Kangaroos to come.

Just got back from the game a little while ago and heres a quick summary.

Adelaide started well and the right in the game througout the first half with the game unfolding in spurts where Adelaide would kick 2-3 goals and then St Kilda would answer with 2-3 goals. Just before the half with St Kilda up by 5 Tyson Edwards was rammed into the ground and instead of being awarded a free and possibly giving Adelaide a lead St Kilda break and Brett Voss kicks a great goal from 50 out near the boundary to give St Kilda an 11 point lead at the half. When the umpires came over the crowd showed there reaction to the decision.

The half time lead proved decisive as in the second half Adelaide were never able to reduce this margin without St Kilda scoring nearly immediately. Adelaide never had an answer to Gehrig who kicked 6.

Hopefully, Adelaide can beat Richmond next week for our first victory.

I agree with Christo the umpires are a joke. You could never be sure what they would call. In tonight's Adelaide game there was an definite effort to pay very few free kicks and then from no where in the second half two St Kilda players got pinged for holding the ball for laying on it. I laughed at both of them but took them because there had been some dodgy decisions against Adelaide earlier.

Still crabby, PAWA. Yep, still 2.30 left, but when the game finished 205 with a ****ing rediculous 7 point play it takes a bit to get over!
3rd time ever Saints won @ Adelaide. Did in '91 and '97.
Sure hope the Roos get up tomorrow....GF turning into a tipping guru! (Must be everything I've taught her ) Has 4/5 so far after an 8 last week!
Absolutely fully prepared for a flogging tbh, PAWA. Can hear..."Everitt to Mitchell to Crawford" ringing in my ears already. Will be a feast for the Hawks midfield.

On a lighter note....how lucky were West Coast!! Brisbane 0.7 in the last 1/4...inc. 4 points in the last 5 minutes!

Anyway, **** footy! Watching NBA finals....a game where things go to plan!!

Christo, don't throw too much gf talk in here mate as you know it will lead to a hosing! Sounds like she knows what she is doind, or has some lady luck on her side. Surprised to see the crows go down as I think we all were but in the process this definitely clarifies the type of team the saints have this year- solid to say the least. Sounds like west coast were very lucky to get away with the win also. I take it all you guys are on the hawks today and it looks pretty appealing at 7.5.
On a different note though, you can't be serious about NBA going to plan christo. I have been shafted quite a few times this year when the game has looked out of reach coming down the stretch. Kind of like the dons against carlton in the 99' prelim which I'm sure you remember GL with it though mate!

Doggies!! Played very well. Sorry if anyone took the Hawks based on my pessimism....Will give them a spray every week if this is the result!!

0-4 for the round dropping me to 7-7 for the year.

Only tipped three winners this week in my tipping comp but not as bad as my dad who ownly tipped 1!!!! and that was Essendon on friday night.

Looking foward to next week where can hopefully turn around this week.
