I'm not a math major, but if you disagree with the line, and say it should be +9, then wouldn't you bet the other way? Like Pitt -7.5 because you believe they'll win by 8?? I dunno... I'm scratching my head over here... :shrug: :shrug:
this system is based on Vegas suckering you to think that. So instead of the line being at 9, vegas wants you on Pitt at -7 so they rake it in when UConn covers (hopefully)

This is new to me as well. Please explain to me. So, if a team is a dog catching 7 but the system shows they should be getting 9, I should take the 7 beacuse I got a bad line .
Could you please go, in great length, maybe 6 or 7 paragraphs to explain this system. It's been, well, at least a couple of days and I need a refesher course.
Amazing! So if a team is a 5 point favorite in the system but an 11 point favorite in Vegas, Vegas screwed up and I should take the -11 instead of -5
