What a fucking joke Stanford is. 4th and 10 and the QB just lobs the ball about 50 feet in the air to the back of the endzone. The play never had a chance.

Just goes to show you how big homefield is in college foots. Everyone was saying how great Stanford was a few weeks ago, but that was before they had played a road game. They just played 2 games in a row on the road and, surprise, surprise, they lost them both.

Agreed. Teams seem to get way too desperate on 4th downs. That had plenty of time to get the first down, then go for the TD. That last pass was about as low percentage as you can get.

Both #1 and #2 looked like dogshit today. Bama not as bad as Florida, but they didn't look good at all IMO.

Well everyone bagged on #3 Texas as well.
#4 VT lost and Ohio St lost.

So if these teams are not 1,2,and 3 then who is???
Thus far the difference in these teams than the ones chasing them is they have not lost to the Purdues and Washingtons of the world.

These top 3 teams are not trying to put on a show at this point.
It is about survival. The BCS crap has changed the way teams approach games.

THE WHOLE WE CAN'T LOSE OR ELSE APPROACH HAS TEAMS ON EDGFE IT SEEMS. :scared

The Florida/Bama games were a lot worse IMO. Texas beat a very good team at a neutral site. They didn't roll up the score, but considering they were only favored by 3, they weren't supposed to. As for Va. Tech, I don't fault them for losing on the road against a very good Ga. Tech team. In fact, I thought that line should have been closer to a pick. Ga. Tech was one of my few winning bets today, actually. :mj07:

So, long story short, I think the elite teams should handle their opponents when they're at home. Neither Florida nor Alabama did that. Bama's late TD made the win look a little more impressive than it really was, IMO.

As for Ohio State... I'm just not a believer. Every year they're ranked really high, and every year they seem to get into a bowl game against a very athletic team and make wonder people how they were ranked so high during the season. Ok, not EVERY year, but it seems to happen a lot.
