Here's my garbage:

balt +6.5 2nd half line...down 3 most of the 2nd half, they NEVER take the lead and then they give up a TD to be down 10, they drive to the 45 and Elvis just eats it twice. Terrible loss.

GB -1 2nd half...Farve has them down to the 45 with a 1st down. Just get 20 yds and kick the fg and goto OT. But no, he tries to be a hero and floats a duck up there to lose.

jax+9 down 6 and driving. Next thing i know Pitts got 3rd and goal and they score. Can't hold them to a FG. Another great loss.

Sd +10 2nd half... down 7 just move the ball and end the game. Nope, let Oak get down and kick a FG.

Unreal how this shit works on Sundays. GB cost me a fortunate on that 2nd half play. Can't believe Farve was that freaking dumb!!! What the f$#$## was he thinking???? Got plenty of time and downs to drive it down there and tie it at worst.

But I did have NEng +10 and +8, and SFran -2 so those 2 were lucky, but I lost a lot more on the others.

The Outhouse to the Penthouse!
Love this thread, I read 'em all and identify completely!

** What is it with these phantom pass interferance calls? Had the under in the Chic/TB game, looking pretty good, then all of a sudden TB get's down by a couple scores and the zebras jump in to help 'em out. Twice the TB receiver is actually yanking down on the DB's arm and pushing off, but they call pass interferance on the "D"!! Nolan is right. There is absolutely no rule associated with those penalty calls 4 out of 5 times. They should have a penalty called on every receiver that jumps up waving an invisible flag every time he misses an over thrown pass.

** Well, got lucky with the late Buffalo cover. Good thing, or I wouldn't have had any cash left to buy that one single bullit that I'd need to end it all.

**Got lucky with the SF cover on my tease too. Whew! OK, so sometimes we get lucky...

** OK, so SD is getting 9, they cover the whole game until the final 30 seconds!?

** Baltimore, Green Bay and Denver all lose at home to garbage teams!? (OK, well maybe Cleve is a bit better than garbage now) Add Miami since I hate the f#$%ing Jets. Hard to make money teasing down home favorites this year. I had SD and DET straight as dogs, so no help there either...

Well, I had what I call a good week for 2001, I broke even! Screw the Monday night game and pass me a turkey leg on T-Day! I was all set to bet the dogs on T-Day, but now both of the travelling favs lost at home as big favs to losing teams and look to rebound.

Yeesh...

I am glad that there is this thread because I didn't want to have to bump my post of "gotta take the giants" up to the top. First off my god I thought that I was going to go out to the garage with a 12 pack and shut the door start the car and listen to some of my old doors tapes if I would have seen another penalty thrown in the game tonight. If collins is good QB then I should be a porn star and if fassel is a HC then I should be president of the usa. Collins can't take any kind of pressure and why would you quit running the ball with the lead and barber running at will when he did get the ball. I hope that piece of shit giant team doesn't win another game. Thank you Jack for the thread now I think I can go to bed.

I had the over 44 and the jints. I can accept the jints loss. But that was the weakest offensive pass interference call on Toomer in the endzone that I honestly have ever seen. Moss pushes off with two hands and there's not even a reach for the hankie. Toomer flails at the guy in the endzone and gets called for it pushing the jints way back with time running down. Man, it really makes you wonder about the integrity of this league sometimes.

Hope it is not too late(to bitch and complain)...but I sure got the impression that the refs had their money on Minny tonight. And Kerry Collins....joining the Leaf-Fiedler club for nomination of asshole of the month; must of had huge personal $$$ on the under. Very disappointing game. I'm a Vike fan but my wallet said bet GIANTS. Of course my wallet didn't know about the Vikes awesome defence (comparable to Ravens of last year!).

Is it me, or does Kerry Collins just look like he is really stupid? It's like if you asked him a question about the game, he would say,"Duh, I throw the football." I bet the coaching staff finds him a real treat to work with.

A Quarterbacks ability to perform is dictated by the Defense's ability to disrupt or throw off his timing. With this in mind the easiest QB's to disrupt are ELVIS GRBAC and Kerry Collins. My theory is that your team will get 5 offensive possessions per half and GRBAC and Collins will GUARANTEED find a way to screw up once MAJORLY in each of the 5 possessions. JUST watch the Ravens and Gaints last games and my theory is validated. I've been enjoying good success with this capping theory.

How the refs interpret pass interference is absurd.

Case in point - early in game, Allen gets called for PI on Moss inwhich he is in great position and as he turns to the ball he make conact slihtly wit his arm.. Flag thrown.

next play they throw to Moss in end zone. Defender in position to make the INT but Moss climbs the defenders back to make the catch. No flag

There was a hell of alot more contact initiated by Moss on the TD play then on the previous play where defender got flagged.

You see this EVERY WEEK in EVERY GAME. Offensive player are given free reign to mug defenders but try blowing in a receivers ear and your flaged baby. FIRST DOWN.

No wonder QB's are quick to throw up a duck downfield, i.e Farve late in ATL game. You have a better chance of etting a PI call then actually completing a pass these days.
