Where it is real F ing COLD
On Sep 26 my car was parked and some chick who was texting blast the rear end of my car and it pushed it over the curb. The girl hit and ran but she hit my car so hard she lost a tire in route. Anyway it took All State 10 days to give the body shop the go ahead to fix the car. Its a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, initial estimate was 6 K damage but it ended up 8 k after it was all said and done but anyways it took the body shop longer cause they say All State wasted them to get parts from a certain place and Body shop said that took a week and then one of the parts was wrong and yada yada. it took them a while to get the car right and it had to be re adjusted cause they missed the passenger side crap. Long story short I was in a rental for 2 months. All state called me today and told me they arent paying for the entire time I had the car and I was going to be liable for lie 10 days of rental and I'm like Bullshit. Wasn't my fault and the Body Shop gave them detailed supplements on why they needed more time. I had to call All State over and over throughout this entire process with very little answers. These guys will take your money but not give a fuck about you when you have a claim.

They're notorious for that kind of stuff. If you keep pushing/fighting it, you will eventually get it paid for. Don't talk to the low-level jerkoff, ask for their supervisor and go from there. Threaten a lawsuit, filing a clam with whoever oversees your insurance industry in your state- should have that info on your insurance card somewhere in the small print. Most people give up after the first few times of being told no, stick with it until they give in. The problem is that most people don't have the time/energy, etc.. to fight the issue. It's sickening how much they get away with. When it's all done, switch companies. They're all like that to a degree, but some are better than others.

That's probably why, I've always gotten good service with them and won't switch because of that.

On the course!
That's why you get your own insurance involved. THEY have the time and resources to get after it!

When my wife got hit and totaled the car, AllState jumped right in and paid us off, then collected from the other company.

With a lot of help on how to handle it from Keyser Soze, it went very quickly and smoothly.

Yeah, duh on my part. Same advice, though, keep all your documentation that you have to show that they were the cause of the delay. Their reputation goes way back in the industry. They've "supposedly" gotten better in the last decade, but that's paying small claims. Bigger ones they revert to form. Anyway, good luck.

All State is refusing to pay for all the rental car, sticking me with a bill for $299 saying they couldn't approve all the extra time and the auto body shop is like WTF. So I have to complain to the Minnesota state of Commerce according to body shop
