disagree 100%, but "hot" is subjective. it's an individual thing. i think she is, and her being stupid helps even more, but that's just me.
you guys saying she won't make the top 12 are fcking nuts. she doesn't have to sing her ass off. she just has to stand there and occassionally show her ass and she's top 12. nowhere did i say she would win, but she'll definitely get voted to the top 6 girls or top 12 on looks alone. that's just the way america votes early on. and to not see that is wrong. it has nothing to do with whether or not i think she is good or bad or hot. you have to be tuned in to how people vote.
every year i think the crop gets worse, and this year is no different, but you will be surprised as they haven't shown much of some of the best voices yet. these next 3 weeks will be a good judge.
and man keyser, we disagree on a lot, because that indian kid will be a cult favorite. if he sucks, he will stick around even more if votefortheworst.com gets a hold of him. he may very well be ugly and annoying but he can sing and doesn't suck. look at elliot last year. he's probably uglier but could sing and he went far.
again, when handicapping idol, personal preferences shouldn't come into play. you are trying to gauge what 20 million voters are going to do. and they get it wrong plenty. the two biggest american idol sellers are the winner of season one and the 4th place finisher last year. it's hard to get it right. regardless keyser, good luck with your wagers.
IO...good to hear from ya bud. to answer, I have no idea. Depends if i'm getting dime lines somewhere. Betting through a canadian at pinnacle is a hassle even though he's a friend. Also depends on who else I'm pissed at. Apparently me and alot of people here don't get along. Don't want to waste my time. Hope alls well and you get the northside southside matchup you're dying for. stranger things have happened.....

I am not knocking any of your wagers. And I also agree that one has to take personal preferences out of it, but the Indian kid is too shy to make it work. He has a decent voice yes, but he doesn't have any stage presence, but then again neither did Underwood. As a matter of fact she still has none! She does have a great "country" voice and a "purty" face.
I am just saying that Barba in last years crop had no chance at all. With this years crop, she's got a chance, for the top 12 that is. I don't wager on this crap, so I have no personal interests at hand. I wish you plenty of succcess on your wagers. This is a genreal discussion forum and that is all I am doing, putting my thoughts out there. Nothing personal BDB, as a matter of fact I enjoy your thoughts greatly during baseball season. As others on here can attest to, if it was personal, I wouldn't be shy about it. Maybe I will have different opinions after tonights show, I sure hope so, otherwise I won't be watching anymore this season..........Rotisserie season is just aroud the bend and I haven't took look one at anything yet. Might be a blessing in disguise.

4 guys down and frankly it has been complete crap and other than the New jersey gal the women should be doing Purina commercials...guess I am glad to not be wagering because it would be tough to 3 months of this...
i just caught a little of this tonight. Boy what a fruitty bunch. When they said "girls on tomorrow night" I thought to myself wasn't that the girls tonight? At first i thought all the girls were eliminated. Next time those guys are on i might put on some tights and ballet shoes and dance around the house.:scared

what a sorry bunch of saps the guys are. not one memorable song or performance. guys like chris and taylor last year knew how to do it right. just sing a song that everyone knows. jeez. how hard is it. if voters know the song they can sing along at home and remember it. how many stupid fcking ballads that suck can they do.
my impressions:
all 4 of my male futures are safe for a while. brandon did fine, but not impressive, but not worried about him in the slighest. he's in no danger to go home and will do something better next week.
chris sligh was entertaining. at least did an uptempo song. he's safe
the indian kid will go far. he's so awful to watch he will get sympathy votes for days. he's top 6 overall, not just men and he's awful. will be able to double up my shares on him and get out.
the only guy i don't have who was impressive was Blake Lewis. the beatbox dude. I liked him and will have to get some of him shortly.
The last guy to go was an okay story, but hell agent singing at the end an uptempo song could have brought the house down. didn't take much after the first 11 performances.
recap: they all suck. my futures are fine. a girl will win this year unless someone really gets it together.

Kind of proves your point - the idiots voting in this thing dont give a rat's ass about talent or performance. I still cant believe that clown Taylor Hicks won.
the indian kid has an exactly ZERO percent chance of going home on thursday. none zip zero.
again, i'll pound this point home, it doesn't matter at all if the kid can sing this early in the competition or how bad he was. he will get votes. going from the top 24 to top 12 is a popularity contest and he will get votes and tons of them. he's a lock for top 12 and it doesn't matter that he sucks. people vote for the worst all the time. people will feel sorry for him, and little girls that vote think he's cute. that alone will carry him to top 12.

he was the biggest surprise for me, and like he said, all they had shown up to that point was really of him beatboxing.......he had the best voice out of this mess....
i swear i thought something was wrong with the sound quality on my tv, turns out they were just flat out bad
I thought the sound quality was bad as well. All of the guys where bad but to me the band sucked as well. I was very suprised at how bad the band was. At times I told my wife it was like they where trying to sound bad on purpose.
Still not sure about Blake Lewis, that was a PERFECT song for him to sing. For someone who can half way sing it's a very easy song, he even messed it up a few times and sounded bad. I think when the theme weeks start he'll be in very big trou ble. Of course, all of the others will be as well.
Brandon is the best IMO. Not saying he'll win but I think he's the best overall.

lol, sorry bleed dodger blue that girl is gone & the show isn't even over. i know i know u say its a popularity contest but that was the WORST ive seen in a top 24 performance in ALL Seasons. shes gone man
