Ugh, I know Adam has a good voice but I can't stand it anymore. For some reason all i can picture in my head is Cher belting out some gay song.

Kris was great last night.

Allison was OK.

Adam smoked it...oooh...word choice, sorry.

Danny was really good...

I still like Matt, think he just doesn't have enough personality or anything different about him. Same with Lil...

kelly, I agree completely. and I like matt too, love the fray and actually thought he sang the song pretty good. megan or anoop are gone tonight while adam, danny, and kris are miles ahead of the rest...

I say this with all the respect in the world to Scott, and his visual challenge.. but I have a problem with "connecting" with him an his music. I thought his performance was very good last night, but still couldn;t get over the top with it.

When Adam sings I feel it, and it's powerful. Same thing with Allison, you can feel the emotion. Now here is the quandry, if Scott wore dark glasses, would it help. Could you coneect mroe with someone that doesn't appear "blanK" when they are singing.

Just curious, as to what you all think. I feel bad for thinking that, but I feel it has some truth to it...

What about you all...

Anyone else think Megan's behavior last night was a bit tacky and embarrasing? Go out with some class. I thought she showed a bit of her true self, and it wasn't pretty. :sadwave:

I see WSEX has matchups up now. The one that stuck out to me is:

Allison -115 to last longer than Matt Giraud

They now have 5 white guys, 1 arab or whatever he is and 2 girls left. They have to start weeding out those whities and Matt has been in the Bottom 3 once already and is getting tore apart by the judges. My Wife Died Danny, Big Gay Adam, and Kris are all safe for weeks to come. Ronnie Milsap and Kumar are gone in the next three weeks.

If Allison just sticks to the game plan, does the rock thing, and dresses semi normal she should be fine. Her looks are the only draw back.

dogface, I agree with your take on Scott. He's good, but he's not pure-good, and watching him objectively I think he's kind of above average at best. No real soul, seems like he's working on the songs and not smooth and natural. Maybe none of that makes sense, but he just doesn't move me when I watch him.

I thought Kris' performance was awesome last night. I didn't get to watch last week, so don't know if he's building momentum or not. I love Danny every week, he just exudes soul and passion in his performances, but I thought Kris was better than he was last night.

I thought Lil showed weakness last night, just not smooth on the tough song, and although hit the notes hard, she didn't have much melody or anything else other than the plain hard hit notes. I didn't like any of the women last night, really, and think Megan is not very good - listening to that for me was painful. She's just bad-weird to listen to, despite being hot.

Interested to see how this plays out - I can't stand Adam's over the top broadway performances every week - it just overshadows his truly special voice for me. Having a hard time figuring out what an album by him would consist of - bizarre rock show tunes? Meatloaf with a pretty face? I dunno...

we are complete opposite on this one chadman. I cringe when I see Danny Gokey. I hate him and his performances with a passion. I can't fathom an album he would put out. It would be all garbage soft rock instrumental garbage imo. I enjoy Adam cause I think at times his voice is at least entertaining. I just think he is by far the most talented contestant this season. I think Allison is a close 2nd and everyone else is utter karaoke garbage...including kris. I'll go on record saying I don't care who wins, adam and allison will outsell them all.

but it's cool to disagree....music is subjective.

For my money Adam is a class ahead of everybody else. I don't want to like Gokey but the kid is good. I have a problem with Allison being 16. She looks 40 to me. She has a good voice but not as polished as Adam.

Megan was the only eye candy left but she is just too weird. Where did she think that song was going?

I dunno. One song a week to show off and they pick the things they do. I don't get it.

No problem, BDB, it is very subjective. I tend to be a little more appreciative of pop music (what I consider good pop) than most, probably due to my old D.J. days when I had to stay plugged in to pop all the time. I personally don't think that Adam or Allison will be big sellers, and I guess I just don't get Allison much. She's a good singer, but I haven't really enjoyed any songs that she has done other than perhaps the Heart song a while back. And I still have no clue what Adam could possibly put out as a record, unless someone can reign him in and get him to do something more streamlined. Men won't buy the kind of crap versions of songs that he does, and I don't really think women will like it that much. Maybe he'll sell a lot following in the footsteps of the Clay Aiken crowd, if you know what I mean. An amazing voice, yes, but just bizarre to me.

I think Danny is suffering a little from the pumping that has been done for him and the wife thing. IMO, he's done unique songs, poppy ones, yes, but unique, and has a very soulful voice. His rendition of Seal's song early on was top notch, and has been the consistently best (most pleasing) of the night repeatedly for my money. And he did a pretty nice job on the country song this week, has gospel roots, and can surely blast out a good rock song with his voice. I think he has broader appeal possibilities than Chris Daughtry, and I loved his album, except for a couple of stupid pop songs that I doubt Daughtry even wanted to do. David Cook was unique last year, and is doing ok on the charts thus far. I think Gokey can at least approach these guys success-wise.

I think Lambert can be a glitzy entertainer, but I just don't know how or what with. And I don't really see Allison being nearly as good as Kelly Clarkson or Underwood, she's just kinda weird to me.

But, subjective is correct. To each their own, and that's why we have more than 5 people making and selling songs, I guess. Still wondering if Kris can continue to make a push, but he probably won't approach this last week again when they start doing individual performers weeks again.

Any ideas who other "topic" weeks might include? That could definitely affect the outcomes coming up.

Chadman- We are almost on the same page, I enjoy the voices of Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry as the best "pop" singers, and Carrie Underwood as a combo platter with come crossover country.

This year I am sticking with Gokey and Allsion. Adam is intriguing, has a very different but good voice but I don't think I could ever listen to a full album of his. Lil, not a fan, I did not like Jennifer Hudson, Mandisa either in terms of their voice. (I like Mariah, and Whitney's voice, just not theirs for differentiation.)

Chris is like a better voiced version of the dreadlocks guy last year who I could not stand at all. Although he has done well so far, I don't see him coming close to winning. Matt has an outside chance if he sticks to his bluesy voice, and performances.
