Winehouse now joins an undesirable club of music icons who have all died at age 27.

Famed musicians including Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Kurt Cobain ? who all dabbled in illegal substances ? have also died at age 27. In popular culture, the trend has been referred to as "The Curse of 27."

In my old age (30) I've realized that one gains nothing in being spiteful or making fun of something like this. That said, as much as I thought Cobain was mediocre, and Joplin as well, to put her in the same paragraph as Hendrix is downright insulting.

RIP.
