As we near the end of the NBA season,i would like to say that i have enjoyed myself fully in my short period of time in the NBA forum.I know that i have pissed some people off and from what i understand some people have lost money on my account, well i apologize for any wrong doing.
I dont claim to be an expert,i just enjoy posting my wagered plays.
As for the series, the pistons got a nice win in game 3 to cut the spurs lead too 2 games to 1.
Detroit was a 4.5 point favorite in game 3,lets face it they stuck it to the spurs in that game, winning the game in hand.Like i said earlier i am no expert but i have been around long enough to realize that the pistons should be more then a 3.5 point favorite in game 4.You figure defending champs, home court, coming off a solid win, momentum you know where i am coming from.i would put this line at 5.5 no doubt about it.
If not 5.5 come back with the 4.5 and let it ride from there.
For once i am being very serious it looks to easy to jump on the pistons in this spot at 3.5.And i am telling anyone who is going to bet the pistons to be VERY CAREFUL.The bet here is without a doubt the spurs. And i am open to backlash and verbal abuse if this pick does not score.
I am not making a prediction on the straight up winner, but yes i have the spurs to win the series and i will not hide the fact that i hate the pistons with a passion so of course i would love to see the spurs win this game, but thats besides the point.
Once in awhile you see a gift from vegas and this is it.Get the credit cards out, dont be afraid.
Once again this play is strictly on the line nothing else.
NO WAY THE PISTONS COVER THE 3.5,ENOUGH SAID.

PLAYOFF RECORD 31-21

THE PICK SPURS +3.5 NO DOUBTER

You may have the right side but it isnt because of the "bad line." Look at playoff history, especially the Finals. The line is where you would expect it to be simply because so much money comes in on the "flip-flop" theory. The lines are very often like this. There was no doubt that the Game 3 line would be inflated for this reason, and Game 4 deflated upon a Detroit win.

Soultrain-It is no big deal to lose a bet.The idea is to lose only 4 1/2 or less out of 10.Anyone who thinks anybody could post 70% winners on here is not being a realist.Post your plays, take it seriously, but anyone expecting perfection,ie getting pissed off about one incorrect pick, well, they have to realize its 4 1/2 out of 10,grind it out,not do or die with each pick. Before pounding the Spurs in Game 4,I'd like to caution you not to assume Ginobili will play even as well as he did after the injury in game 3.I've had some good thigh contusions in football and played thru them successfully during the game that they happened in.Its during the ride home, and the nights sleep when he's cooled off that the swelling, soreness, and bruising will set in,badly.I think the injury will hamper him greatly tonight. If I'm right the Spurs will have a very hard time winning game 4 ATS without him healthy.

Ginobili's lying on the training table right now, getting ultra sound treatments,(which don't work for nothing) and walking with a limp.If he dominates tonight with that injury,he's not human.Do you think Popovich is going to give Detroit notice that he's hurt so Brown can game plan disregarding Ginobili's presence?I don't.Unless someone here has seen tape of him moving easily, not just jump shooting,I believe he'll be slowed signifigantly by that injury.

edludes, i agree with you 100% this guy is not going to be fully healthy by game time. he still may play a part but not a big one. i cant wait to hear everyone complain that the reason the pistons win the finals is because they got lucky by injuries/suspensions.

started off with ron artest, then shaq and wade, and now ginobili.

life's tough bitchhhhhhhhhhes.

After hearing all the loser ESPN analysits choose the pistons, whom they also chose to win the series I think I might go on the Spurs this one. Remember they all said the Pistons would win game 1 because they said the spurs had too long of a layoff. Lok what happened. They also said that the Pistons dominated in all facets of the series (front court, back court, coaching, bench). lol. The only way the pistons won game 3 was beacuse they injured ginobili, and I called it as soon as he got pulled out for a bit. Good thing I went hard on the over. Leaning on the spurs and waiting for D2 to post. Hope I can put a last second bet in when i find out who's officating. I just hope its Steve Javie, Dan Crawford, and Ron Garretson. lol. If it is I'm pounding the Spurs, but i highly boubt it.

I think this is a very hard one to pick, but most factors DO point to the Pistons - and I picked the Spurs to win. They are at home, won a big game and Gino is hurt. Parker and Ginobili are relatively young players and will be forced to step up on the road.

A key will be Ben Wallace and Tim Duncan. Wallace outplayed Duncan. If that happens again, I don't see the Spurs winning. Even with Duncan having a better game, Parker and Manu will need to pitch in. You expect the Spurs to rebound, but the Pistons HAVE to win this game and are going to be fired up from the last game.

As I posted, it should be the best game of the series. The Spurs want to win, the Pistons MUST win. The Spurs could lose this game and win game #5 and still be in great position. I Know Pop isn't thinking like that, but with a hobbled Manu it may be a reality.

Thigh contusions are a bitch, but this is the NBA in 2005...best trainers and treatments possible are available to Ginobli. Certainly not like if you are I got one during a high school football game in 1985. I think Ginobli will be fine and have a excellent game.

Manu's line was 12 points 4 rebounds and 3 assists. He was talking bravely for your benefit, his line was 5 points better than game twos total of seven, his rebounds the same dynamic 4,and he chipped in three assists vs zero Tuesday in game three. He was ineffective. They need 27 to 30 points from him not 12, 4 and 3.He was unable to drive like games 1 and 2.End of story for Spurs

By the way Hoops,I played DTackle in college and signed a contract with the NY Football Giants,so its not some mickey mouse high school experience i was harkening back on.You don't recover from this injury in two days,of that I was certain, and that proved out in Manus inability to drive.
