The dipshit of all dipshits strikes again.

And of couse he follows up his idiotic statements with multiple diatribes justifying them, blaming others and offering up to everyone what a great person he really is.

In a few weeks, he'll state in other diatribe threads that he never really said any of this and that everyone else is wrong and he's right.

Wash....rinse....repeat.

A truly miserable fuk and a disgrace to the human race.

What did I blame others for? I've read over my post a couple times and despite a few spelling or grammatical errors I still see it as me speaking on my personal thoughts and habits. Any disparaging generalizations I included myself in, hence the use of we and us. I did say I enjoy my life and have friends so to speak. Regardless of you're assessment of my worth, I was being honest and open about myself and the subject matter. What did you contribute except this shit.

You know man, a few weeks ago I addressed you specifically about this very type of post. I believe I mentioned that I understood you don't like me and vice versa and was tired of arguing with you. I said I would refrain from ever addressing you or your posts and asked if you'd do the same as it had become very old and tiresome. I also extended the same to hedgehog and apologized for the shitty things I had said to him. Hedge quickly responded and apologized as well which I greatly appreciated.
Now you felt it necessary to call me a disgrace, dipshit, and whatever else on a public forum, for what purpose?

Personally I'd like to see some verification of these gunshots and shrapnel (should be 2 purple hearts) you rant about constantly....especially considering the only assault you have been involved in that can be verified was on women and children in swimming pool at golf outing...and that didn't take a whole lot of courage.

Hope this helps!

Great to see you posting :toast:

Greetings Bobby...I bet by now your liking going independent. I know it's a bit scary at 1st.

Smurph...You still the king of darts at your local pub? ....and note my post was not related to Kaepernick but rather to unverified claims by posters...especially when related to military. I could be wrong but am very skeptical of claims per quote. Only one way to find out is copy of dd214 and I doubt we see that happen. :tongue

Stephen Smith is a blowhard but I love the video with him describing the 'tradition' of having NFL players stand during the national anthem. Not that this was new information, but it was a good opportunity to reiterate that NFL players generally weren't on the field during the National Anthem prior to 2009. That the US Military paid the NFL millions of dollars to use the players and the event as a marketing exercise. To exaggerate the patriotism by putting the players on the field during the anthem, and to enhance the performance of the National anthem with more military fly-overs, more on field flag displays etc etc.
It's always about money, and power, show & propaganda, and rarely about patriotism. IMO.

I think I kind of know what FDC is saying. Not to put words in his mouth but here goes, my take anyway. We have way to many heroes in this country. Just because someone is is the Service does not make them a hero. Just because a guy is a cop does not make him a hero.

Among those professions there certainly are heroes. And there are bums and no goods too.

Also, this is a very interesting subject. Let us not get too personal with it. What about these guys not standing, guys raising their fists etc. That is what we should be talking about.

Myself I think they have the right to sit. But I don't have to agree with them. I don't think it is the right place to make the protest. But many fought for the right to do it. And it is what makes us a great country.

Anyway, my two cents worth.

Here is the thing that I keep coming back to in my own mind.... players like Kaep are effectively doing political activities at work. He easily could hold press conferences to speak his mind on his own time if this issue was important to him, but is choosing to do so during company "work" hours as a company employee.

Can you imagine, at your job (pretty much any of ours), if we caused a scene at work because we were practicing our personal politics? Maybe leading a Trump rally - maybe handing out Hillary posters during work hours. Now imagine that you/we did this in front of the company's home office - in public, embarrassing the company (especially if it was a controversial issue). Certainly you would be fired in a minute. And for good reason.

Not sure why the NFL is not taking a stand here. These displays detract from the event - many of us watch sports to be entertained, and are not interested in being fed political opinions in any way. I personally can't stand Bob Costas when he gives his weekly political rant at halftime. The NFL should make it clear that any politicking by any player, coach, cheerleader, groundskeeper, etc be done on their own personal time, and not involve any NFL events or be done on "company" time. Obviously, as a football player, it is not always clear what is company time due to the 24/7 training these guys do, but certainly a televised football game would be considered such.

Strong points to be sure Mags. Especially these guys can call a press conference any time they want.

My only reply to they are doing it on work time is that most of us are not required to salute the flag or stand for the National Anthem at work.

I also do not like politics force fed me at entertainment events.

anthems are for germans

we are americans

what's more patriotic anyway - putting on a show of obedience or stepping out and speaking your mind?

seems very silly to be angry with anyone following their conscious over a song that means different things for different people
