Looks like my instincts were right heading into tonight...Hillary still lives, because of the efforts and focus she put in these two big states. People are looking much closer now, and she still stands up well comparatively to the "chosen one."

chad...

obama should win the upcoming primaries in the southeast (forgot which states), but it will be interesting to see if there is "buyer's remorse" with him in the other primaries.

That term doesn't make sense, AR. I don't think there are people changing their vote against Obama. I don't think he has actually lost supporters - he just didn't gain enough in Texas and Ohio. It doesn't help him that Republicans are voting for Hillary in the open primaries, specifically because they would rather go against her in the general election.

tell that to the talking heads because a few of them are using that term...their theory is that some obama supporters are going over to clinton at the last minute because of the inexperience factor. don't know if that's true or not.

i'm sure that i'm not the only one who dislikes the idea of republicans voting in the dem primaries. i think they should stay out of it. but i don't think it's because they want hillary more than obama. i heard rush asked his listeners to vote for hillary because he wants the democrats to beat each other other up before the general election.

Just because a dumb talking head at Fox says it, doesn't mean you have to buy into it. It doesn't make sense.

My 2 cents.

Hillary has a pretty good organization here in Ohio. Although Barack was closing at the eighth pole, the philly had enough in reserve to hold off the younger, less experienced colt in this prep race.

Not sure how much the cross over factor came into play. I know eight years ago, I grabbed a republican ballot to vote for McCain in an attempt to keep the evil one from getting the nomination to no avail. I just don't know how many republicans could cross over and grab a democratice ballot and actually punch a vote for Hillary thinking that she would stimulate the base in November. I just don't think they could stomach it.

McCain made a nice speech last night. With all three in the race, I really don't have a problem with any of them. I mean after all, following the worst president in the history of this country, you have no where to go but up.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm very interested in this election (even though I think the country is already too far gone to be saved by anyone). By the way, I heard that bumper stickers are already out there that say "Don't blame me I voted for McCain" just in case he loses.

You gotta love the right wing psychos. I'm sure the talk show hosts are already prepping there formats to blame everything on either the Clinton/Obama administration (if McCain loses) or if McCain wins, there going to have to make long stretchs back to 92-00 or to Congress 06-08.

Gotta love the machine.

truth is,that`s what the dems did with mccain in the earlier open primaries....to knock romney and rudy out....

each person has their vote...using it to their best advantage is good strategy.....and that can mean negating the toughest candidate on the other side...

i see nothing wrong with it...

btw...i threw out the organic skim milk....into the second gallon i started talking with a lisp....

i never heard that before about the dems doing the samething to rudy & romney.

anyway i heard that most of the registered republicans in texas voted for obama.

yeah...i think it happened in either florida or michigan(being that the dem s rendered those primaries null and void)..can`t remember which one allowed crossovers...

i think there was a push in florida to register as republican before their cut-off date(florida`s a closed primary based on registration)so they could help boost a "decent" republican candidate in case they lost in the general...

they like mccain..(better than romney/thompson and rudy,anyway).......
