Time for an upgrade. The battery on this iPhone only lasts about 3-4 hours with a lot of texting and a scoreboard running. Unacceptable.

How are the new Samsungs?

Sell me on a new phone.

Main concerns:
Battery life
Good email
Talk to text
Phone reception
A camera as good as or better than iPhone.
Speedy internet service.
Not too big but bigger than the iPhone.
I don't do many apps so that's not a big deal to me.

I've owned both the iPhone and the Galaxy and I prefer the Galaxy. Battery life is good, screen is bigger and easier to read. Simple to operate, good maps etc...

I would go with the galaxy. I think it would suit your needs better

You mentioned Battery life on the iPhone now only lasts 3 to 4 hours. The iPhone is a small phone. Therefore it has a small battery. Since all batteries have a depletion rate, If you buy a Samsung the battery will deplete as well. The advantage of having a larger phone, such as the new Samsung ? it will have a larger battery. The battery life on the larger Samsung will probably hold you longer than an iPhone. So far, there has not been a competitor to truly compete with iPhone except for Samsung. i highly recommend looking at a Samsung versus all other phones first.

I loved my iPhone....until I got my Galaxy S4. This phone is a tad bigger but I don't mind that. I did have an issue with the battery not lasting but then I was told if you do not completely close the apps they continue to run in the background. As soon as they told me how to actually close them my battery started lasting a lot longer. Just like any phone it will take some getting used to. I'm still not sure what some of the stuff on here does. If you have any questions Josh will gladly help you out! Lol.

What are you people doing with your phones to give it such a small window of battery life?

...........never had a problem.

Try the droid mini.. same as droid max but smaller. It's a little bigger than i phone.Paid $100 extra for mine but I think they are free now. Display is nearly all face, so pics are larger without that big brick feel.

I am using a Droid Razor Maxx HD. The Maxx stands for maxx battery life, from my understanding.
