Who cares?!! Just another thug off the streets. Wasn't he caught selling loosies previously? No doubt a lifelong criminal. I don't see a problem, he was told to stand down and not to resist. So he got what was coming to him.

I know mine is not the popular opinion on Ferguson. Especially with white America, and before anyone jumps to conclusions, I'm not implying that Gibber is basing his thought process on race at all. Just stating mine is not a popular opinion, nor are my thoughts on O.J. Simpson case. I know that. I don't give police the benefit of doubt anymore, ever. This has been going on for so long I think it's a systemic problem throughout the country. We just choose to live in denial about it. That's why I question everything.

Thank you for the research. This is a much more disappointing example of law enforcement's mindset in my opinion.
I'm tired of it. As a society, we have to have come farther than this! I haven't exactly told everyone, but I'm going to be a grandfather to twin boys. They are mixed race. My daughter isn't wealthy nor am I. I hope they will never have to see this type of thing first hand. It's not just a matter if raising them right. That's painfully obvious anymore. Anyone of color is subject to, and a candidate for this violent prejudice. It's alarming and sad for us all.

Hopefully, by the time they're a bit older, they won't have to encounter what countless numbers of people do today, everyday, simply because of the colour of their skin. And even learned academics aren't above facing institutionalized racism.
