I love gangster/mafia films

But I've always wondered...why did two of the best made (casino/Goodfellas) decide to make their 'tough guy enforcer' the short and odd shaped Joe Pesci?

I am confident that even Danny Devito or Tyrian Lannister could make him tap out in the octagon....never understood that decision...I mean maybe you try it in Goodfellas but for Casino to double down and have him as the enforcer is dumb

I will give "Top Pick" of movie you have probably seen.......Saving Private Ryan

I will give "Top Pick" of movie you have probably not seen...Murder in the First

That is all.

Kickserv:

You are correct that I have seen Saving Private Ryan. I agree, very good movie.
You are further correct that I did not see Murder in the First, until last night. Excellent movie, had enough lawyer shit in it that I appreciate. Thank you for the recommendation.

Complete bullshit that Kevin Bacon didn't even get nominated for an Oscar for that role. By the way Nicolas Cage won for Leaving Las Vegas that year, yeah as I said, bullshit.

Thanks for the recommendation of 50-1. Good movie. Actually I think I bet on Bafferts horse that day.

Eddie

As an aside, the director really took some shots at the racing establishment. I didn't realize Baffert was as big of an asshole as he was portrayed to be in the movie.

I thought both of these were good. I watch a lot of Redbox and Netflix. Hell if I can remember movie titles but I can remember what the movies were about lol

What an awesome movie that I didn't see on anyone's list. Also, I want to second Snafu's recommendation of Children of Men...I loved that flick!
