I changed my DNS settings this morning.......

DNS propagation is the time frame it takes for DNS changes to be updated across the Internet. A change to a DNS record—for example, changing the IP address defined for a specific hostname—can take up to 72 hours to propagate worldwide, although it typically takes a few hours.

Speaking of - I made the switch from 8.8.8.8 to 1.1.1.1 a few years ago

https://turbospeedwifi.com/8-8-8-8-vs-1-1-1-1-which-dns-is-better/

This is on the browsing side, not your hosting settings but if you monkey with your settings, this is one I've been happy with

Way to go Jack:0053

I don't know about that. Jord20 had it last night and it's still in his signature. This is one weird thing going on with random members.

Then today, we have to deal with a slow forum (maybe) during high traffic times, 10am-12pm.

Maybe Anthony Richkas, dominic_Lorenzo, and Hanna Knightly all banded together and launched a cyber attack on you?

Yes, weird shit, but on my end it looks like all those wacky characters have vanished. And I only care about myself, and everything seems fine on my end now. So, yeah, fuck everybody else and their Madjack issues, they are on their own.:00014

On the course!
As a Website Visitor
?
  1. Unfortunately there is no way for visitors to fix the problem when strange characters show up on a Web page, because this issue stems from a developer error. If you do see strange letters or symbols on a page, try taking a screenshot of the page and emailing the site's webmaster with the screenshot attached. The Webmaster may not be aware that problems exist with the site.

Look what I quoted and look how it appeared after I submitted. This is making me dizzy.

And on top of that I gave Jack false hope that the issue has been fixed for everybody:00x31

You must have followed this guy's suggestion.

I believe it is cache issue at the member's end. Please ask them to clear browser cache and try to re-login. Also the DNS changes might not have reflected at their end. Please give 24 hours to confirm if the issue remains.

I actually did nothing of the sort. I did absolutely nothing with cache or anything else like that. In other words absolutely nothing changed on my end in the last 48 hours. All I know is I am good to go now.

I cleared everything too. If the problem was on the user end, there wouldn't be several users having the issue at the same time, IMO.

Of course not. Techs ALWAYS blame the user. ALWAYS. I was just hoping he may have been right this time because this is some strange shit going on.

I am really at a loss and I have the 10am-12pm, or maybe all day thing, going on soon. All this only 1/3 into the football season. I won't be able to make any dramatic changes until after March Madness. Now it's gonna be a long WINTER and I'm so used to complaining about it being a long SUMMER!

And I'm in retired mode, I don't need this shit. Good luck if you bet today. Talk about some strange shit going on watch some football.
