(2) Fifty plus years ago my dad found a $20 bill (like $40 now) in a parking lot, and the bill was mostly frozen in ice. He went home and got an ice pick and chopped it out. My dad lacked patience and skill with tools, but he knew the value of a dollar. I remember him proudly telling the story that night while having a couple of high balls before dinner, and showing off the badly mangled bill (a family of 7 or 8 still at home). He was a happy man that night.
(3) The found money I was never able to figure out was about 10 to 15 years ago and I received a check in the mail for $900 and some odd dollars. It was drawn on a Canadian Bank x43: by a company I never heard of, with no explanation provided. I said to myself the check can't possibly be good, but I decided to deposit it, and it was good, still shocks me. I don't remember ever being involved in some class action settlement, or having a balance in some account, etc. that would account for it. I took a picture of the check and tried to do some internet searching for an explanation, and I couldn't even find anything about the company (like a holding company) that issued it. Found money!

I once found about $300 at the Pita Pit just West of Bathurst and King Street in downtown Toronto. I went to pay for my wrap, and there was a stack of cash sitting on a ledge. The store was empty, the person previously in there must have been fuck*d up, and put his cash down. Needless to say, I cut the toppings short on the wrap, took the $300 and bounced quickly, made for a nice evening:0corn
I found a stack of bills getting off the elevator to the lobby at Planet Hollywood. I picked it up and didn't even have a chance to count it until some guy came up to me and offered to turn it in to casino security. Yeah right, pal. I told him that I would turn it and then he followed me to security to make sure I did. I still don't know how much it was but a good guess would be around $3K. The rightful owner probably never got it either. Looking back, I should have told security about it and should have told them to contact ME if someone claimed it. Not sure how that would have gone down either. It happened so fast there really wasn't much time to think it through, I just didn't want that guy to get it. Other than some change here and there, I never really found any money other than that one time.
And I think the most surprising thing about that story is that someone was walking around Wal-Mart with a $100 bill.
I found a $100 bill in Wal-Mart about 5 weeks ago. Had never found anything more than $1 before that. Did not believe it was real until I deposited it into the bank and they took it.

I also remember LOSING 3 hundy this one time. I was in t.dot at the time, somewhere around bathurst and king.:mj07:
Any Madjackers ever "find money" that appeared out of nowhere?
Anybody ever get extra cash out of the ATM? Find money on the sidewalk, etc. etc.?
I once found a 5 dollar bill on the floor at the Bellagio in Las Vegas:00hour
Was at Saratoga racetrack 25-30 years ago in line at a betting kiosk. Guy in front of me left a 11-12 hundred dollar voucher in machine. Thought I struck gold but after a little contemplating I turned it in to security. They found the guy. He gave me 50 bucks.
