Morris,

Good luck with everything. It sounds like a Mexico vacation might be in order after you are back up to 100%

Hope it went well!

The joint class is a part of the hospital?s SCIP program, and they might have some special accreditation. It just boils down to them being able to get more money. Total joints are huge bucks for the hospital. They try to capitalize on them since they lose so much money in other areas. So funny to me to see u write the class is a joke Bc I know it?s true, and they are like pressuring u to do it.

The big thing is early mobilization (get up out of bed within two hours of getting a hospital room assignment and possibly walking). Also I?m sure they were throwing the incentive spirometer in your face that you use to inhale deeply then cough so you don?t get pneumonia.

Above the Clouds....
Hey guys! Everything went well. I was in the operating room at 7:30am and the PT girls were waiting for me before I even got to my room. They got me up and walking right away. Amazing no pain whatsoever!!
Never made it to the bed went right to a chair, had lunch, watched tv and the best part was they sent me home the first day. Dr. had told me if they get patients in early there's a good chance of going home the same day.
Started PT 3 days later, got rid of the cane in 1 week and walking on my own now. Hard for me to believe the recovery time is so quick. So glad I had it done!
