In regards to this arguement over the merits of Appy State, I think they fall somewhere in the middle of the road of division 1. Throw that team into the MAC or Mountain West and they would contend. Still no excuse for Michigan, but to think that this team is worse than a Buffalo or a Directional Michigan school is not accurate.

Agree with 3 Seconds the other storied programs wouldn't lose that game at home. But I can think of a ton of schools in Division 1-A that would.

I am not talking from a homer standpoint. I am mearly stating that any team can beat the best on any given day. Watch the NCAA basketball tourney and it happens every year. I don't care if it is at home or where it is, upsets still occur. App St is two time defending Champs in a TRUE playoff system also, which is very hard to do. It is not like we come in ranked #1 this year and as long as we take care of business, we will play for the National Championship. You still have to win through the playoffs. Too bad we will never see what Boise could have done last year and plenty of others in years past. Point is,App is no cream puff 1AA school, they are the 2 time defending National Champs and have 15 consecutive victories which is more than others can say. Enjoy the season and open your closed mind and accept that ANY team can lose on any given day. That's why they play the games. Reality not Homer. Peace, Hail
