Oh, and i couldnt be more disappointed by the "athletes" chosen to represent the USA on this season of TUF. Not only are the majority just punks, they are also terrible fighters...... i mean last night was pretty hard to watch, talent-wise. The red-head kid may turn out o.k., and the guy who won the last fight has skills...

The UK team, on the other hand, looked pretty damn solid on last week's episode. I think the UK is going to give us a royal ass-kicking this season.

And surprise surprise, it seems Junie Browning's little bro has the brain of a sea urchin... (leak) http://www.mmatko.com/tuf-season-9-episode-3-leak-video-rob-browning-trouble-maker/

Mac Danzig and Jim Miller will fight at UFC 100. I sort of hope Danzig has to pack his bags after this one.

Chael Sonnen will fight Wilson Gouveia at UFC 102.

what was the deal with the guy who had survived the anuerysm??? He layed on the matt the whole first round with that guy just pummelling him, and he offered nothing. Why was that fight not stopped?? He then goes on to sub his opponent in the second rather easily?? :wtf: that one sure looked fishy... I mean, he was totally getting his ass whipped and doing nothing about it??

Yea, :wtf: Dude survives a brain aneurysm and quits in the cage?! :142smilie Typical Steve Mazzagatti horseshit. He's a terrible ref in every way... There were a couple fights during that episode that were late stoppages IMO, but that one may come back to haunt the U.S. team

News:

Alistair headed back to Strikeforce in June.

"I?m in talks now with Scott (Coker) and I?m going to fight on June 6 to defend my heavyweight title. The time has come for me to come back to America and defend my title. I think there?s a lot of guys here that would make interesting fights, and I?m really looking forward to kicking some ass."

?Demolition Man? puts the Strikeforce heavyweight division on notice with his impending return to the San Jose-based organization on June 6 to defend the title he captured from Paul Buentello via second round TKO way back in November of 2007. Prior to dropping a close decision to World GP 2008 Champion Remy Bonjasky at last months K-1 event, Overeem had won five straight consecutive bouts ? including a first round destruction of former K-1 heavyweight champion Badr Hari at the Fields Dynamite!! super show on December 31. Perhaps a win for Brett Rogers on Saturday night can put in motion a possible title match later this year?

Strikeforce seems to be trying to bring in names as its draw and it will probably work.
Bringing in guys like Randleman,Overeem,Werdum,Tito, and Babalu will help advertise events. If you can't land top tier fighters then you might as well get guys who are established since the UFC seems to be chasing up and comers more than legends(which kind of makes sense because all these guys are way past their prime except Overeem.

I like what Stikeforce has done so far and with the backing of Showtime they could be a real competitor for the UFC. I can see Strikeforce landing a lot of the Affliction guys if something happens there. They have some young studs and exciting fighters.

Pride set the best example to me. They may not be the best fighters(as we've witnessed with all of the Pride guys flopping in the UFC) but they're exciting fighters which means as much if not more than being good.

My problem with the UFC is that they dropped guys that where exciting but lost. I don't think a loss should matter if a guys willing to let it all hang out and take chances. We all know that when they take chances one punch can end it. Now we're moving into a time where guys are more conservative and just care about winning.

Ed Herman talks Loiseau

Ed Herman talks Loiseau

?I think this is going to be a really exciting fight. Hopefully it?s Fight of the Night or Ass Whooping of the Night. I?m looking to finish him as fast as I can?I?ve lost two in a row and if I lose another fight, the UFC will probably cut me so I?m trying to keep my job. It?s rough times. It?s a bad economy, so I gotta keep my damn job so I can keep living. I respect Loiseau, but on the 18th, I?m going in there to beat his ass.?

? Ed Herman ? middleweight finalist on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 3 ? talks about his upcoming fight with hometown favorite David Loiseau at UFC 97 from The Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on April 18. ?Short Fuse? is looking to rebound from back-to-back losses and prevent himself from being a victim of a contractual ?Spring Cleaning.? That might not be so easy against ?The Crow,? who also is fighting to remain on the UFC roster. The former middleweight contender was invited back to the Octagon after putting together a solid 4-2 record outside of the promotion. Loser leaves town? Perhaps not if they can pull off fight of the night. What say you?

Also, 'The Karate Hottie' lost her latest MMA fight.

?He throws big, hard punches and kicks from the left side. So I?ve just go to avoid his left and see how good his ground game is?. They?re actually a lot alike, but Brian Stann is right-handed and Luis Cane is southpaw. So as far as my strategy on the feet goes, same strategy, (but) different combinations that I?m looking for, as far as right-handed versus southpaw. ? I?m definitely going to put him on his back and see how he works from there?. I?m a really nice guy. I am trying to go out there and trying to break the guy?s arm every single fight, (but) I?ll just refrain from celebrating like that. That wasn?t necessary. It actually ruined a really good fight. I?m going to go out there and be more humble and win like a champion now, try to get a fresh new start.?

? The last man to raise the World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) 205-pound title, Steve Cantwell, talks to USAToday.com about his upcoming fight against top division contender, Luis Cane, at UFC 97: ?Redemption? this weekend at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. ?The Robot? intends to implement his ground game to hand ?Banha? his first-ever career loss that was not caused by a disqualification (James Irvin). And if he can somehow tap the talented Brazilian striking machine, then he promises to keep his emotions in check to avoid a situation similar to his last winning/arm-popping performance against Razak Al-Hassan. What a disaster that turned out to be.

http://www.carmichaeldave.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=79:a-carmichael-dave-exclusive-dana-white-on-fedor-emelianenko&catid=36:mma

Carmichael Dave: You really need to stop with this Fedor stuff. Jeez ?

Dana White: Stop what? He is far from the pound-for-pound best in the world!

Carmichael Dave: Dana, the dude (Emelianenko) has never lost (ed. note: other than a cut stoppage early in his career that was later avenged with a first round TKO)?.If you signed him tomorrow, you?d be swinging on those nuts ? come on!

Dana White: You have to consistently fight the best in the world in order to get my respect.

Carmichael Dave: He consistently beat three UFC heavyweight champions? asses: Noguiera twice, Andrei Arlovski and Tim Sylvia.

Dana White: Nog was a long time ago. Sylvia wasn?t even close to great and Arlovski has no chin.

Carmichael Dave: The fans want this guy in the UFC more than anything. You?re tired of the ?Fedor is great? shit. Why not just bend and make it happen?

Dana White: Oh yeah, it?s only up to me if he?s in the UFC? All you dopes need to realize he?s under contract with someone else. It?s up to HIM to do a deal, not me. I have been trying, Lorenzo (Fertitta, co-owner of the UFC) has been trying. We?ve been trying ever since we bought Pride.

Carmichael Dave: Yeah, but you refuse to waive that crazy Zuffa contract shit. No Sambo, the champion?s clause (a clause in which a fighter?s contract automatically renews for one more fight as long as they hold a UFC belt) etc. True or false? Look, he has one more fight with Affliction I believe. Why not do a one fight deal at least?

Dana White: That?s right. When you?re fighting in the Big Show, there can be no other bullshit. He will get paid an assload of money to fight, and he needs to be available. We can?t be sitting around waiting for him to fight in some Sambo show.
