I don't think anyone should defend a card that has Chuck as a headliner at this point in his career.
The UFC is supposed to be so freaking deep with talent yet they roll this card out.
Pathetic.

I am a MMA fan and will watch just about any card possible but asking for someone to buy card after card with lack of talent on it is watering the sport down.
The talent on this card has free written all over it.

Strikeforce card this Saturday puts this card to shame and it is on CBS.
Dana being stubborn with network deals is ripping the fans off is my only point.

As for every card not being fireworks, I agree that is why you have Spike or get another tv deal.
Paying based on the talent on this card is BS.

There's a reason why Strikeforce cards are free. It's the only option(if they wanna hang around).

Personally, I can watch any 2 fighters get out there and scrap. This is a fight I've wanted to see for a long time.

They have a network deal with CBS and Showtime.
You can catch the Strikeforce card May 15th(which is better than any recent UFC card) on PPV if you don't have Showtime.

Strikeforce has as many top tier fighters as UFC.

You need to ignore Dana until he has some proof other than his loud mouth that Strikeforce is in trouble.

The Chuck/Rich fight is about 2 years too late.
Chuck has looked bad for quite some time now and Rich is clearly past his prime.
This is not a main event of a PPV.
And Cro Cop as the next fight. Pathetic. He is terrible these days.

I never said they were in trouble. I said there's a reason why they have to do them free. Because they wouldn't last if they were at a PPV rate.

Also, whoever told you they have as many top tier fighters as the UFC lied.

I said the top tier which is true. It may not be extremely deep but the talent is there.

Strikeforce HW:
Fedor,Barnett,Overeem,Rogers,Aleks Emilianeko. That is 5 of the top 10 or 11 HW and Strikeforce has them.

LHW:
Mousasi
Dan Henderson. That is 2 of the top 5 LHW's in the world.

Middleweights:
Jake Shields ( #2 MW in the world)
Dan Henderson (Top 3 fighter when he fights at MW)
Robbie Lawler(Top 10 MW fighter)

The 155 class is somewhat weak but Melendez and Aoki should be a good fight.

Aoki is the number two fighter in the world and since Penn loss i think he is number one. Now. :00hour

Yeah he is top 2 155 guys.
Strikeforce is really lacking talent at the lower levels though 155 and the 170 class doesn't even have enough to give Nick Diaz a real challenge.

The thing that sours me on some UFC cards is that they are just doing too many PPV events and it could lead to a downfall.
Strikeforce may put on less cards but EVERY card is of serious quality.
The Saturday 3 main fights are SICK and FREE.

I am all for the more the better but $100 a month is going to push this sport to somewhat of a negative thing at some point is my thinking.

HOLY Sh%t, who would have ever thought we would see the day that Rich Franklin is favored over Liddell. I don't give a crap how bad Chuck has looked and how easily he's been ko'd, I love Rich but he's not Shogun or Page. Give me Chuck for a max bet, he's had time away which I think he needed after some bad losses. Chuck WILL win this fight and I think he'll use some takedowns to do it.

My lean is a small play on Horn at those odds.
I like Rosholt but he is pretty one dimensional being a wrestler. He ko'd some bums but knockout is not gonna happen here. Jake had a nice showing vs Leben but that is all.
As for Horn, his most recent losses are not exactly a disgrace:palhares,Lister,Nate the Great,Santiago,Lindland.

Rosholt is not yet on the level of any of those guys so I think the odds should be more around Rosholt -150 or even lower.
