This issue is pretty black and white, to coin a non-racial phrase. Legal - ok. Illegal - not ok. Where's the gray area? I agree we should enforce the laws on the books, but we're not doing it. If this helps that along without hurting legal immigrants, it just makes sense to me.

A mass exodus of illegals from one U.S. state to another? What's wrong with that picture. Maybe this is what it will take to motivate states and the government to act to uphold and enforce the law.

I'm as liberal as most, but this bothers me. I don't see the value for us as American citizens to stand up for some kind of "rights" for non-citizens. Sorry, follow the rules, and you can have all the rights you want.

While I do think it's an economic issue, I think the more important area for us as a country, and to border states in particular, is the issue of national and state security. To coin my son's favorite phrase: it doesn't take a rocket surgeon... to realize it just takes one person sneaking across the border to blow up people and objects in this country. Isn't that enough reason, for those who stick to some kind of racial injustice theme in arguing against this?

Working in the medical field and knowing statistics there is a high percentage of alcoholics to the race but do you think of why? Many Indians live at low poverty levels even those that have the casinos. You can't kill many members of a race and force them to live in the Northern Planes without much of an education system or industry to thrive in. The culture was taken away and all the natives knew what to do was live off the land. We took away that land and expected the natives to adapt to us.. Not a lot of opportunity. We depressed them physically and mentally and that has been past down for generations.. Now that we are getting into the times I think the natives could do more with that casino money like improving eduction, health and alcoholic teaching..
