Arturo Thunder Gatti has passed away

On a seperate more upbeat note about Arturo, have you heard there is a movie coming out about Micky Ward that should be pretty good. Nice cast of Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale called THE FIGHTER.

Don't know who will play Arturo but that part of Ward's life clearly has to be in this film.

just a terrible loss. I'm a friend of Micky Ward, he is devastated. He and Arturo have become close friends since their epoch battles. Micky has never been the same since those fights, he truly gave so much, he lost part of himself in those battles. I'm sure Arturo did also. Neither fighter was the same after those fights. They don't make them like these two anymore. I've known Micky since silver mittens, and had the pleasure of meeting Arturo in Atlantic City through Micky. Class class guy.

movie is finally being made. Brad Pitt, then Matt Damon, now Christian Bale. Dickie is the former inmate, and its true, put sugar Ray Leonard on his ass in the Boston Garden. I always thought Donnie Whalberg should have played Dickie.
