Best of luck with those place doubles DTB ... agree about Weir, remember he was only player to bt 70 on Sunday last year ... and by 3 shots!

Quote today on the score is 269-270 so the firms think we'll end up 18 or 19 under par.

Reds --- I like Ober here being on PB with relative good conditions (except fog) Weir at SG no bargain and compounded with pressure of lead.
of course I would not mind Weir shooting lights out--but not a hedge
-- hope still in position to do some hedging tomorrow.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Do have a no-brainer hedge in final rd in Australia tomorrow--not an official play but---will have to lay a little on Allenby vs Ohern @ Pinn with other four legs in the house @ SB :)

Oberholser 8-1 win only (GG)

Really kicking myself this week. Almost went for Oberholser and Weir and the start but declined. Also had Stadler circled as he had just won recently in South America. What a week to become gunshy! :scared

Ditto on Ober T.U. but as Stan mentioned who'd thought he open at such low odds--had him Atwal-Weir and Love in circled list via #'s but always cross out Love-- which this might be one of those weeks for him--he hit 100% of greens yesterday--killied my fav prob total of day on under in girs- he was paired with Kelly who did hit part hitting only 50%.

I think sometimes we all possibly get a bit greedy. In UK, Oberholser opened at 50's with Betfred and was 40-1 for a good while at Betinternet - I got in later at 33's when it was clear he was shortening.

In reality, 50-1 was a GREAT price, whether he delivered or not, given the 3 things I tend to focus on most - current form, course form and home cooking!! Throw in the fact he won in poor conditions (often the case here) in Korea and is twice a Nationwide winner and the only downside was being a non-winner on main tour.

4th Round
Sluman over Stadler -110 (Olympic)

I think Stadler just hung up from talking to his son after finishing off a few bottles.

So true about the greed Redsfan--excellent job on your part as all the indicators were in line--I thought hard about it but have limited myself mid year last year to a few pre tourney place wagers reserving the others for in running and had Ober circled but his opening 65 -shot any in running out of saddle--opted pre-tourney instead for Weir to place @ Cbet as his odds were greater than obers @ 10/1
STATUS Description Price Wager USD Payout Results
Accepted AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am - Tournament - Top 5 - WEIR, Mike Win 11.00 20.00 220.00
--did miss the boat on not backing Ober in more matches and deserve dummy of week award on that count.

Nice find on Ohern @ Oly yesterday T.U. got there a little late
@ -1.25 but took a little--appreciate the heads up.

4th rd --a couple corrrelated GIR props
Weir +110 over Clark (-1/2) & Weir/Clark -115 over 23 1/2

Other Sports - 308 Mike Weir -? +110 for Game
Other Sports - 308 Mike Weir/Tim Clark over 23? -115 for Game

Rarliy back a player in heat of it on Sunday but Weir unlike Mick-Sergio-Singh ect has very conservative low keyed demeanor.
Despite being in thick of it last 3 years has averaged just over 14 girs @ PB and worse total has been 12.All he needs is to do is match his worse (12) to assure at least a push--and weather projection today--MUCH better than final rd past 3 years.

4th ROUND MATCHUP (Carib)

OGILVIE over PALMER (+105) - already have Palmer to beat Ogilvie for 72 holes, so this is a small hedge. Chance I can still win both bets with Palmer's 2 stroke lead, but if Palmer really packs it in, I can still turn a minimal profit with the plus odds here.

FINAL RESULT: 0-3; -4.50pts

Clark 12th
Watson mc
Bjornstad mc

Just as Verplank 2nd place finish last week was a total surprise, it looked far harder for Tim Clark not to finish in the top-5 than to do so ... but he managed it! On each of the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th holes, he missed putts from inside 10 feet and had he kept his drive on the 18th hole on the course, he would have still finished 5th ... but he hit in the Pacific. Payback for Verplank, I suppose. And don't even mention the player who was knocked off the shortlist in favour of Tim Clark!
