OUTRIGHTS:
Mike Weir(18/1) e.w.
- - Besides having reasons to be a little ornery, something of a small greens and California specialist.
Daniel Chopra(33/1) e.w.
- - My 5th Indian.
Kevin Sutherland(50/1) e.w.
- - Alert: Of any player on Tour that comes to mind, his swing most reminds me of my own - not that that's a good thing.
Nick Watney(50/1) e.w.
- - He showed a lot at Kapalua and he wants this to be the place, but his putting and birdie conversion rate suggest somewhere else.
Kenneth Ferrie(150/1) e.w.
- - What an odd assortment on my radar I had left to chose from: Ferrie, Rumford, Clark, Harrington and Elkington, plus Mediate, Mahan and Byrd becaues I'm light on Yanks. Right here and now, just playing a hunch as the best priced choice for getting untracked and then miraculously taking it across the finish line.

Borrowed from elsewhere:
Last 10 winners: Age - Prev win on tour - Event form - Recent form.
07 - Mickelson - 36 - Yes - Yes - Poor (MC in FBR)
06 - Oberholser - 31 - No - Yes - Promising (2 nice perfs)
05 - Mickelson - 34 - Yes - Yes - Yes won FBR
04 - Singh - 40 - Yes - Yes - Yes - 3rd in FBR
03 - Love - 38 - Yes - Yes - not bad, 12th Bob Hope
02 - Gogel - 30 - No - Yes - Not really 2 x mc & 28th FBR
01 - Love - 36 - Yes - yes - Not bad, 10th in Sony
00 - Woods - 24 - Yes - Yes - Yes won merc
99 - Stewart - 41 - Yes - Yes - Yes
98 - Mickelson - 27 - Yes - Yes - Yes Won Merc.
So ages varying from 24 - 41 have won this, although the 2 players who won in their 20's were outstanding players.
Previous tour winner: 8 out of 10 were.
Definetly need to have shown something in the event, 10 out of 10 had played and played well here previously, so no rookies, again that could be a pro am thing as it takes some getting used to (I know they have them on NW).
9 out of 10 are Yanks (and the 1 who isn't was about to enjoy his best ever year and become World No. 1), only 3 foreign winners in event history.
8 out of 10 had form in the events leading up to the event.
So basically looking for the obvious.
