I'm curious, how much of the LSU--AUB game did you watch?

missed the first 6:00 of lsu/aub as the kent/miami gm was winding down. caught the remaining 54:00. ill never argue w/o facts behind me or w/o having seen what took place in a given game. this is a business for me. and i take it seriously.

as i mentioned earlier this week, lsu is damn good. but i dont have them better than auburn or florida. the sec is loaded at the top. but miles vs. meyer is a mismatch. floridas schedule is a gauntlet but they wont lost to lsu. their loss(es) will come elsewhere.

Auburn 6 and 9 and Mich #3 LOL...
:mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

Sorry Vol, I just don't get the Auburn hype. Michigan has a much better defense and a very similar offense, but UM has more big play ability at wideout. Further to this, Auburn consistently looks lousy against good OOC competition.

No LSU in your top 10? Really, I am suprised you don't have TCU in their after their loss. Anyone who watched the Auburn game and says the officiating didn't strongly go in Auburn's favor is just plain wrong. Thats like arguing if the eath is round. I am not making excuses LSU lost, (the second time they went to Auburn and lost the game on a refs call, 3 years a go their kicker missed the extra point and they threw a flag for landing on a lineman? worst call in the history of NCAA football,) Once I can understand twice there is something wrong.

I can't agree or disagree with you on the officiating, I was in South Bend and didn't see the game. I have seen Auburn's defense though, and its not anything special. So, if LSU could manage just 3 points......

AU overrated at all but not great

AU overrated at all but not great

All year I thought AU was the best team in the country until the last 3 games against LSU, Buffalo, and now South Carolina.

THe LSU game was absolutely anemic no matter how great the defenses played. LSU should have won that game.

The Buffalo game was actually semi in contention midway in the 3rd. Talk about an apathetic game by the Tigers. Up 10 at halftime to Buffalo? No self respecting WarEagle fan can say that AU looked like even Top 20 material that day. I think Temple could take Buffalo to the woodshed---well probably not.

Now the SC game. The 3rd quarter domination made AU look like the team that is ranked #2 and I was highly impressed by TT's onside call. Now move the 4th Q and you can see that AU was fortunate to walk with a W. People have said that SC is a good team, but I ask you how do surmise that? Just because they are in the SEC does not mean they are good. They have one victory and that was a narrow margin against the powerhouse we call WOFFORD.

So AU has run the table so far and of the top teams has beaten the highest rated team in the victory dance, so that is impressive. What is not impressive is the defense nor the offense lately.

AU should win the SEC and be a BCS team, but I just don't think they have enough firepower in the passing game like the JC years where they can compete for the MNC.

For now #2 is fitting unless they lose.

And this hurts to write as Trojan fan.

I can see how you want USC to be #2 but they struggled for most of the game with the Arizona Mildcats, Soth Carolina is a far better team than the mildcats. Auburn got screwed a few years ago when they went undefeated, USC is goi ng to lose to CAL or ND, if they win both put them in the NC, I am not a USC fan because I think the media gives them too many breaks if any other school pulled the shi_ they did with the reggie bush scandal they would close the program down, but when it happens at USC it gets brushed aside. USC is a good squad, LSU fans like me hate them because they don't deserve a split NC because they didn't play in the game. You have to play in the game to take home the hardware. And its no dynasty with 1 NC and that one should be taken away because of the 100,000 payment to Bush.

Seriously, will LSU fans like you just move on. LSU won a share of the title as did USC. If someone came up to me and said that LSU won the title that year I would say great as would most SC fans. The AP poll legitimized the title. We never had the chance to play in the game and wish we could have to just to end things, but we both know that willnever happen. So here's a suggestion: Be happy with your title, we certainly are and we certainly don't hold any grudges.

And I did not put SC #2 I put AU there. Got to tell you the comment that South Carolina is far better than Arizona may be a stretch, but they are definately better.

Let me understand your rationale then USC struggles against a team that is not very good and so does AU yet USC is not deserving?

THE WORLD DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND THE SEC, USC, OR ANY OTHER TEAM OR CONFERENCE.

Lets just agree to disagree but it would certainly be healthy for you to move on from your hatred for USC.

Yeah, the refs really had two bull shit calls on the 3rd and 24 with the pass interference and then the interfrerence they picked the flag up. Russell killed them when he didnt get out of bounce or throw the ball away. I agree if LSU would have thrown the ball in the second half they would have pulled away. Then why do you have an All American Freshmen tail back behind Hester on the bench??? They say this guy is going to be the best back ever to come out of LSU. Also keep in mind the defensive cordinator knows LSU the best he only coached there under Saban.

LSU defintely a top 5 team. They should not even let the Auburn game be that close they sealed their own faith by losing that game. I thought they had more of a chance beating Aub than the Gators.

I think that would have been a great game USC and LSU.

However, LSU is a very good football team with a subpar coach. LSU is loaded with talent and a coach that has no clue on how to run the team. Don't think the Tigers are winning cuz of this coach. Its only cuz the talent they have on the field. Noway Saban loses that Aub game last week.

I am not saying LSU is the number one team in the Country but I do say they are in the top 5 or not far out of it

I absolutely agree with you. I think that LSU absolutely dominated the game. With Saban he brought something extra to the game and I think that LSU wins it and gets into the EZ at least once.

I also believe LSU to be among the Top programs of the last 5 years along with USC, OSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, and AU.

Good luck to you and your Tigers.
