Golden Glory is like M-1

They got taught a lesson.

Sucks for Coenen and Einemo, but they can blame that fuck bag Overeem not Zuffa.

I love what Zuffa did.

It happens in sports (and non sports) all the time. Surround yourself with shitty management and that's what you get.

GW, if you knew the whole story you'd side with Zuffa. According to Showdown Joe, Golden Glory "pulled a fast one" on Zuffa and guess what....Zuffa said: "Fuck with me and watch what happens". The management team at Golden Glory got what they deserved.

This has nothing to do with Dana being an asshole, it is a smart business move. If somebody tries to fuck you over, what are ya going to do? Do nothing?

Overeem and Golden Glory fucked over Coenen and Einemo....not Zuffa.

And by the way GW, Dana told Einemo that if he found new management he would not be cut. That didn't happen.

GW.....I'll say again if you knew the whole story you'd feel differently. I know you hate Dana and yes he fucks up from time to time. And yes sometimes he treats fighters like crap. But this was not one of those times.

Great job by Zuffa........Overeem and Golden Glory got what they deserved:00hour

And I'll say it again, sucks for those two fighters, but when you surround yourself with scumbags, that's what you get.

As bucs said.....do what JDS does, have no manager and you avoid this shit.

Good people get fucked all the time with greedy management and agents. This is one of those times.

Bash Zuffa all you want, they may be unfair at times, but they never ever pull that kind of bullshit....never.

Ok........now go on and continue to bash Dana.

I understand having management/agents in professional sports because the contracts are soooo complex. However, in MMA, it's pretty basic. You discuss a #, the years, then you discuss the ppv stuff/win bonus/all that little stuff. There isn't incentive based stuff that's so hard to figure out(you win or lose) and there isn't all this deferred money over x-years. I don't wanna hear the bullshit about guranteed money and they can cut you anytime without being paid. You shouldn't get guranteed $ when you lose fights. Guranteed $ and contracts are why you see teams like the Pirates, Orioles, Nationals, Redskins, Bengals, etc...suck year in and year out. Teams getting all that dead $ left on their books. Not performing? You're cut. It's not like it's unfair...must suck that instead of getting your 5million annually that some other poor player gets a chance at it now. Give me that kind of money and cut me after day 1, I wouldn't bitch. ADIOS!

Management/Agents in MMA will ruin the sport.

Kickserv kinda touched what I was getting at. I bet if all those fighters that are/were let go, switched management or gave their management up, they'd still have contracts.

you guys are particularly thick today....

last time i looked,i saw no issues with einemo`s or coenen`s contracts...they just competeed relatively recently and there was nothing on any mma sites or in any periodicals regarding contractual issues with these fighters....

it was a totally vindictive move that only a megalomaniac would make....sanctioning innocent, hard working employees just trying to make a living to try and send a message to another employee that he already fired....

that`s scary crazy....he`s nuts...

i can`t believe you guys are sucking this p.o.s.`s dick...

GW.....if somebody did what GG did, you'd do the same thing Zuffa did.

Overeem and GG fucked over Coenen and Einemo, not Zuffa.

And I'll say it again......Dana told Einemo if he found different management he'd stay in the UFC. Einemo declined.

Zuffa did the right thing. You can't let a company lie to your face and fuck ya over.

GW...if you wanted Overeem, Overeem, Einemo and Coenen in Zuffa then you should be yelling at GG, not Zuffa.

Zuffa did the right thing.

And I'll say it again.........if somebody did this to you GW, you do the exact same thing Zuffa did.

Be mad at Dana for other shit, but in this case Dana/Zuffa did the right thing.

Overeem is a fuck wad and I can assure ya......his camp ain't happy with him.

And I'll say it again...........if you align yourself with management that is going to dick Zuffa around, then you pay the price.

Many MMA fighters DO NOT HAVE MANAGERS......and avoid this shit.

Simple as that.

Now.....carry on with the Dana bashing........

?Kharitonov will still be fighting in the Heavyeweight Grand Prix and he is now more than ever determined to become the champion!? de Jong wrote in an email to MMAWeekly.com on Wednesday.

The former Pride heavyweight made short work of Andrei Arlovski in his first round match-up in the tournament, and will carry the Team Golden Glory banner forward into his next fight against Barnett in a few weeks.

--Oh geez. That'll show 'em! LOL Kharitonov BETTER be more determined to win the Grand Prix then ever because if or after he loses, he's going to get cut.

Fedor Emelianenko Released By Strikeforce

Not a huge surprise. I hope he retires but I don't think he will.

He was the first MMA fighter to be called the greatest of all time though when the history books look back in many years his name will probably not stand out so much

I will let her know.

Sad to see Fedor go....he was a good guy.

But maybe the most over-rated MMA fighters of all time.

and I believe if Anderson Silva can defeat Okami and then defend his title 2 or 3 times more then I think he will have the title of greatest of all time (BTW greatest of all time is pretty much an opinion and not an iron clad title)

But I will always remember being at the HP Pavilion live to see Fedor tap to Werdum. Even as he was in the choke I turned to my buddy and was like "he's cool. He has no arteries. He won't/can't tap"

Then Fedor taps, me and my buddy are stunned jumping up in the air going nuts. Minutes later I realized I had just won on Werdum:0074

honestly?...i`m ready to declare jon jones the greateat right now....

what he would do to silva would be criminal...

That is a good point. I can't see any current LHW or up and coming LHW defeating him. I would like to see him face Machida, who would be a big underdog to him. Apart from maybe the big showdown with Evans (Evans on paper should be way to small for Jones), nothing much else has my attention for him at 205

Damn, I'll really miss Fedor. IMO he had it all but most importantly to me I loved to watch him fight. It seemed like every one of his fights was exciting. Maybe there where a few boring ones but for the most part when he got in the ring and went at people I got out of my seat. There are very few guys like that in MMA now. Bones is one that has and will continue(I hope) to do that. Anderson has had some bore fest because he doesn't always attack. I'm not big on GSPs man humping style(although I do consider him the most unbeatable champ).

To me Fedor, Wandy and Chuck where icons and hard to replace. I fell in love with the sport largely in part because those guys came along.

there are lots of naysayers pissing in fedor`s cornflakes...but remember, when he was at his peak,so were guys in the ufc like hughes, liddell, ortiz, sylvia, evan tanner......father time caught up to them all....even penn and anomalies like couture and henderson(that loss to shields was embarrassing).....

fedor stood the test of time...he`ll be remembered as a great....as will liddell in spite of how his career ended...

Ha, never. Too boring, weight class is worst in MMA/UFC, and doesn't finish fights.

Are you high? Jon Jones isn't nor never will be the GOAT. Just re-watch the Bonnar fight and you'll re-asses your opinions. Jones doesn't have much of a gas tank, and Bonnar actually hurt him with a few punches, on top of the fact that Bonnar kept moving forward.

Silva would destroy Jones IMO. Silva takes advantage of fighters who are sloppy and wild.
