Great punting guys,my Carlton bet looked absolutely silly (just watched the replay on cable). But Melbourne got me the points with 25 seconds left one of the best finishes for years.

Gloveski's Results:
Carlton -8.5 L
Western Bulldogs +9.5 W
Melbourne NL W

Season To Date 2-1

For Azrusty nothing like gridiron or soccer the closest game going around to Aussie Rules is most likely gaelic rules but best for you to try and watch the game yourself if you can and me and the rest of the guys could try and explain it from there but keep up the good punting. I'm sure between myself,Anders,Cartman88 and the rest of the guys we should be able to tip a few winners each weekend.

did hasleby beat lockyer? I didn't look

only ones of those I did this week were misiti v stevens, which was easy, and mercuri v dew - that was a backdoor tie so to speak, dew had 2 disposals in last couple of minutes to tie, think mercuri didn't play whole 2nd half?, anyway, that wrecked the double on that

Another thing about those, and I have done the AFL stats thing professionally, it is highly rortable and error prone, so big money on this is a bit iffy, given the amount of people they currently have doing them live.

On Hawthorn though - only 25 scoring shots (i.e. an average game's worth) vs a maybe not so good team without Christou and Silvagni in the backline, basically.

Not sure what is up with Shane Crawford, either - ruck situation improved for the Hawks too, I think, but forwards and smalls got to lift for them to do much.

Thanks for the reply gloveski. I am not very sports knowledgeable. Never really followed sports until about a year ago.

Never watched a pro football game all the way through until I had some money on it!

I have been following all sports since about September of last year. Whenever baseball play-offs were.

Trying to learn about all these sports simultaneously occasionally gives me a terrific headache. And I do feel very stupid at times.

I live in Suprise, AZ which is a suburb of Phoenix. Next time I'm in Tazmania I'll look you up! LOL

The reason I asked if aussie football was similar to soccer was that I did go to the aussie football site and the players looked more like soccer players than our American football players. Not nearly as large as one of our large but inept Arizona Cardinals.
I will try to watch an Australian Football game when I can. I may be able to catch a game sometime on satellite...dunno.

Thanks to everyone for letting me tag along on the picks.

Sincerely,

Dr. James R. S.

Kinda love yer approach Rusty - don't like sport but like making money

Damn, that may well make you some cash in the long run - sometimes I think us sports freaks get a little too caught up on all that we know; or at least all that we think we know.

Sports betting involves some sports knowledge, a bold heart, a clear head, homework, money management and patience - luck will come and go but won't worry you in the long haul.

If you wanna get in touch, lemme know your e-mail; have already made some fine friends thanks to Madjacks in the US and am gathering a few places for a drink or two when I finally make it over there

Thank you for your kind words Anders.

The one advantage to not being too sports knowledgeable is that I have no emotional involvement with most of the teams that I bet on. Really, really, really couldn't care less whether they win or lose!

My biggest problem with this stuff has been handling the emotional ups and downs associated with winning and losing. I get giddy and all excited when I win and pretty much bummed out when I lose.

My wife and I had our first major fight over this stuff last weekend. THAT pretty much ruined the weekend. She thinks doing this stuff is just like playing the slots or betting on horses! NOT

I am still testing a cock-eyed theory of mine that one can start with a rather small limited budget and through good self-discipline and a lot of luck make a LOT of money!

I had a bad day yesterday with bases but golf brought me back today! I won with Mickelson and Calchavechia..both showed. And some of the matchups came through. All minimum bets made me over three hundred dollars.. YES!!!!!!!!

Lost my butt on Nascar.... I KNEW I should just leave that alone! Down about sixty on that.

So.... as you all know this stuff is a roller coaster ride that sometimes runs clear off the track leaving you devastated, broke and a feeling a bit under the weather.

As far as players that I have been tracking.. I discoverd Raymond and Fletcher quite some months ago ... have been following Raymond very closely for awhile now. Actually called and talked to him on the phone the other day. AS I hoped, he is a very nice guy! But.... NEVER... I say NEVER piss this guy off! He is one tough hombre (who has made me about three hundred dollars in the past week). He is very astute as to bases. The numbers he was throwing by me as to money played and money lost etc. etc. etc. made me just want to puke. I am really wondering if he is playing with his own money .... or a syndicates??? Some questions are better left unasked!

IF anyone wishes to contact me I can be reached at jrsdc3@aol.com

I am a 49 year old chiropractor practicing in Glendale, Arizona. A suburb of Phoenix. I've been in practice since 1981.. but practiced in Houston, TX until 1993.

My wife, Kathy and I have been married just over 2 years. My second marriage. She is a third generation American-Japanese...

She used to raise and race thoroghbred horses, has had several business of her own including a T-shirt factory, a trucking company, and an auto parts company. She works with me in the office and is herself a pretty tough customer. Would have to say that she is the business brains of our outfit! And an excellent negotiator!

Enough of this .. Thank you all for letting me tag along with your picks

P.S. .. if you choose to e mail say something in the address line such as... wanna see some REALLY BIG HOOTERS? to get my attention. I get a lot of junk mail that just doesn't get read.

here is a look at the matchwinners results for the weekend
camporeale/hasleby double lost at $2.65
camporeale 29
harford 12
Camporeale a class act and we got off to a flyer with first leg up
Hasleby 13
Lockyer 18
Hasleby a very quiet night by his standards weel tagged out of the game by licuria (out of all my picks i thought this was the most certain....goes to show)

Schwass/black double win at $3.05

Schwass 22
Braun 2
Braun was injured early in game so a no contest

Black 28
Simpson 14
Black had a brilliant third qtr with something like 14 touches.
So 1-1 for the weekend with matchwinner doubles but a small profit with the better priced double getting up.
Will most likely stop giving these selections as they are quite risky as a certainty can be ruined by injuries...and now I am going back to work after being on holidays

G/L To All will be back later in the week with my Line Bet selections
