Record after Ten Days
----------------------------

Sides: 40 wins 43 losses
Parlay 11 wins 12 losses

-664 units profit

**My unit wagers are done on a "unit profit" basis. Meaning PROFIT.......so when I place 500 units on a match at odds of $1.38 and I win I MADE 190 units (500x1.38=690)......and if I make a 500 unit play and lose I LOST 500 units.**

Haven't posted for a few days as ante-post interests took priority (glad to get rid of Safin + Federer though!)

However, I agree with Kickserv that both Williams sisters need opposing tonight at the prices on offer. Neither has played anywhere near their best so far + Clijsters in particular has looked a real threat (+ will have huge 'home' support). Henin has had injury problems so will tread a bit more carefully there.

4pts Clijsters v Serena 9/4 Blue Sq/Tote

2pts Henin-Hardenne v Venus 10/3 Sp Odds

record so far 5/10 + 10.68pts :D

Kickserv, although Clijsters choked that's what happens to most players when they have a winning opportunity against the world's #1.

Not only did Clijisters choke, but Serena did her best to present the match to her opponent.

In a total of 31 games for the entire match, Clijsters hit only 14 outright winners, less than one winner every two games. Compare this to Serena's 65 un-forced errors (32 more than Clijsters), that's over two points per game and you start to get the picture.

The better player won, by giving up so many cheap winners Serena showed she is a champion without bringing her "A" game to the court.

Well BB have to disagree.........

yes it's true it was an ugly match.......but when your up 5-1 (and have two match points) you win..........she even had the crowd behind her......and if she just came in on Serena's backhand there wouldn't even have been a third set let alone a chance to choke....add that with the fact Serena played like a moron (slouching around the court and hitting to Clisters backhand) Clijsters should have won.

Yes it was an ugly match........but sick of these "top women" not having a brain......get the dam job done and use your brain......that had little to do with "Serena being a champ" and had everything to do with Clisters not closing it out. This happens all the time on the women's tour.........just sick of the Williams getting all this credit for being Champions.........yes they are..........but some of these women just need to get some heart and beat em............at least Clijsters isn't intimidated but unfortunalyy she diecided to choke.........I mean Serena was such a baby up to 5-1...............then Kim decides to double fault back to back..........shank some forhands and then refuses to foloow in her inside out forehand...........I could go on and on.........5-1 two breaks..............PATHETIC...........absolutely PATHETIC.......

The better player did not win that match...............there was no "better player" in that match...there was a winner and a loser and Clijsters was the loser...........Serena wasn't the winner......it was handed to her............did you see that dropshot at 4-1 by Serena......she tanked it........ya can't tell me she was "fighting" she was giving up.........in the men's game that happens and the guy is roadkill......instead Kim ALLOWED SERENA back into the match..........and how did she do that......by playing stupid......for fu**s sake......why on earth didn't she just slice to Serena's backhand.........and come in......HELLO!!.........yes I'm bitter about me losing..........just drives me crazy to see this.........bottom line.....your up 5-1 and two breaks.........you close it out........ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR OPPENENT IS MOPING AROUND THE COURT LIKE SOME CHILD................

Strewth Kickserv, talk about putting it on the line.

Perhaps I didn't explain myself. Yes Clijsters should have won but did not deserve to.

Why? 14 outright winners in three sets is pathetic, compare this to 43 outright winners from Serena.
33 unforced errors by Clijisters compared to 65 by Serena.

For christ sake the game was persented to Clijsters on a silver platter and she was just not good enough. Clijsters won a total of 14 games, yet 65 unforced errors (by Serena) equals 16.25 games. 13 winners equates to 3.25 games, so she only won 25% of the games by her own play.

Serena won 17 games, 44 outright winners equals 11 games plus 33 errors from Clijsters makes another 8 games. Therefore Serena won 65% of her games.

Tell me who the better player was 13 out right winners against 44 winners. The stats say Serena played her shots where Clijsters was prepaired to play negatively or conservatively. On this occassion fortune favoured the brave and deservedly so.

I feel we are not going to agree on this matter, so lets agree to disagree.

Speak to you soon.

I can't believe that either!!

No player should lose in that situation, regardless of who you're playing. Very painful as it was my biggest bet of the tournament so far! - at least Agassi each way @7/1 will cover it :)

BB I know you give the stats about unforced errors and outright winners implying Clijsters didn't neccesarily deserve to win - however playing against either Williams sister you're NEVER going to hit more outright winners because they hit the thing so ****** hard. It's all about making less unforced errors and keeping the rallies going. Kim almost did this, but fell one short!!

Bah!

Still, it leaves an intersting call for the final - anyone seen any prices yet - I'd probably slightly fancy Venus :)o ) if she was 6/4 or bigger.

Agree Hoss,

Venus playing the better tennis of the two. I feel the books might price this as 8/11 Serena, 1/1 Venus.

As you are aware and it's happened in the past. THE RESULT IS ALREADY DECIDED. The parents see to that. They will put on a good show until one makes three large errors at the backend of the set to decide the outcome. It's happened three of the last four times.

I to would play Venus at 6/4 or better, but I think that price will be wishful thinking.

Kickserv, I not trying to be argumentative, I'm sorry you lost large money on game. I'm sorry to hear you did, I hate people to lose especially under those circumstances.

price has arrived :)

2pts Venus 6/4 Victor Chandler

BB you are right about the 'outcome' - I had forgotten about this - so have reduced to a 2 unit stake - might be one to play in-running eh??;)
