as for Fed.....unless you actually played the game of tennis at the top level you'll never know just how good that guy really is...it is sick how good he is......in no time you'll be comparing him to Sampras...he's not there yet...but give him another 5 years....WOW :scared

BleedDodgerBlue-
Thanks for the heads up on those lines.
I went small on Agassi as I knew it would be
a difficult task. Federer is playing just amazing
stuff out there....

Kickserv-
Who was the best pro that you faced?
Also what is your take on upcoming
matches? I am thinking that Molik is
very capable of beating Davenport

dam....I almost went a perfect 2-0 with the dogs (Roddick push...lucky!)....Molik almost pulled it off :cursin:

and Seeker....probably the best player I faced was davydenko...although when I played him he was ranked in the 300's...of course now he's in the top 30 :scared

and of course I'm now typing on madjacks making picks and he's in the QF's of a grand slam...gee wonder who improved huh :mj07:

Nalbandian should have snuffed out "drama queen" Hewitt in that crazy match yesterday.

Lleyton is hanging in this tourney with a major injury cloud on that leg.

I'm pounding a fresher Roddick to finish him off in the Semi @ $1.53

Very unpatriotic I know....but the bank has to come first!! :brows:

Day 12 Picks
------------------

L. Hewitt beat A. Roddick $2.85 *2.5 units

well.......everybody and their dog will be on Roddick in this match, but taking Hewitt at these massive odds AT HOME...in a grand slam....I'll take that thank you very much

and as for the "injury"....it would take a bullet to the head for Hewitt to be hampered.....and besides, if Hewitt does in fact retire the bet is void.

Bottom line....don't underestimate a fighter like Hewitt, the guy is tough as nails :firing:

Roddick - 200 2k/1k

was gonna play double that, but I think Ill leave it alone. Lines been pretty constant since open, moving pennies here and there.

The problem I have with putting more on Roddick is that its been so long since he's played a tight match. He's dropped only one set all tourney to rusedski and even then I highly doubt he was worried he'd lose the match. He's only played in one tiebreaker the entire tournament. He hasn't played a singles tourney meaningful match if you discount playing spain in davis cup on clay in early december, since the masters cup in mid november (where of course he lost to hewitt 3 and 2)

A lot has been talked about the ankle of hewitt, but I think hes played pretty well so far. His attitude is what will get him in trouble, hes a baby on the court. Roddick isn't a whole lot better, but imo he handles himself better on the court.

Plus, I haven't even factored in the crowd. Andy will obviously have some supporters, but you won't hear them. This is truley a home court advantage for Hewitt, but of course hes never done great here before.

Which leads me to a ton of reasons that I shouldn't bet andy at all. Huge homecourt factor for Hewitt, lifetime 4-1 against andy, recently a 2-3 win on us soil, and the fact that andy hasn't been tested at all.

BUT for some reason, I still think andy can win. If, he can serve like hes capable of he wins, its that simple. And im betting he will. Roddick is nails under pressure (not that hewitt isn't), but andy just wins big points with the exception of matches against federer who he will never beat. His match on this court against el youzny 2 years ago was the greatest match in history of tennis imo. hope he wins a little easier tonight.

im rambling gl all go roddick

nice call on hewitt kick, i obviously was wrong

i was right about one thing, roddick wasn't ready. he couldn't win the really big points and he hasn't been tested in about 2 1/2 months until yesterday and it showed. his first serve is awesome though when he gets it in.

another bitch moan i have about roddick, is get angry out there. STOP BEING A NICE GUY. I mean in that first two sets, he complimented hewitt on every winner. I mean come on, clapping on your racket, saying great shot on all his winners. stop being nice. just play. hewitt doesn't need compliments, he has 15000 people doing that. just play and show a little mean streak.

anyway, on to the women.

i find it interesting that the number one player in world, number one seed in the tourney and favorite to win pretourney is now a +225 dog. Im sure serena will get bet by more than a 2-1 margine, but come on. there has to be some value with davenport. serena didn't play all that great against the hot russian, with the exception of the 3 match points she saved (awesome forehands). davenport played like crap against dechy, but found a way to win. obviously shes the more tired of the 2, but so was hewitt and he didn't show it.

williams holds a 9-4 edge lifetime, but davenport won the 2 they played last year.

theres value with davenport at over 2 to 1, but i still think serena wins. so, i decided to play the match a little differently. i think it will go 3 sets. of the 13 times they've played, 5 of the 13 have gone 3 sets. of the majors and tour championship meetings 3 of the 5 went 3.

with a gun to my head i say serena wins, but i think its better to bet it goes 3 sets. if it doesn't well then chalk up a bad tourney for me.

500/2345 davenport wins 2-1
500/1460 williams wins 2-1

good luck

on a side note, something i found amusing, serena is listed on the wta website as weighing 135 pounds. ARE U KIDDING. If serena weighs within 20 pounds of 135 i'd be amazed. her ass alone has to weigh 50. just found that amusing

Final Day Pick
--------------------

M. Safin and L. Hewitt Over 41.5 total games $1.91 *6 units :scared

love this pick.......I know lots of you madjackers probably won't have access to an over/under pick, but remember this is a grand slam final, you might be surprised to see your book actually offer this selection :mj03:

And remember....you can always call your book and ask em to put a line up

Perhaps fellow madjackers can keep an eye out for a madjack sponsor that offers over/under for this match........I will be out all evening and have not looked at every single book out there, but I can tell ya I saw 41.5 ($1.83) 41.5 (1.91) and 42.0 (1.91) all at non sponsors. I am sure at least one madjack sponsor is offering over/under odds  If not you can always do this :mj16:

Anyway.......TAKE THE OVER..kickserv likes the over :box2: :firing:

oh and make sure it says "match must be completed"....last thing ya do is want to take the over and one set is played and some dude retires...now that would suck :cursin:
