Campbell 99-1 :D

He is not far off the pace and tees off early. Hopefully he will avoid the wind. Worth a shot.

Sunday @ Colonial

Sunday @ Colonial

Local hasn't had Plays up for the weekend, not sure what the deal is.

What a round by Chad. Those two bogeys kept a 59 from coming out. Colonial has showed it's teeth but has let a few rounds get through.

Wind will keep up, maybe the heat can stay away. Saturday was a Good day for the Fan.

Girls, Margo's, Cigars and Golf. Last day, let's bring home these Horses.

Off to the course.

Outrights - Final update: 1-2; +5.63pts

Love 35th
Cink 14th
Ames 3rd

Another finish performance from Ames and at one stage - before he hit his tee-shot into the water on the 13th hole - it looked like he might emulate Cink and win from well off the pace. In the end he finished two shy of Flesch, but still a decent return on the week's outrights as a result.

Matchups - Final update: 3-1-0; +2.84pts

Ames/Ogilvy WON by 16
Triplett/Hart WON by 5
Johnson/Hamilton WON by 6
Weir/Toms LOST by 3

Nice profit on the plays with Weir coming close to ensuring the sweep. Relieved that none of the other three were overturned after the opponent in every match made the cut by a single shot.

Colonial Ending

Colonial Ending

It was real tough to watch Campbell and Ames get so close but miss at the end. That would have real sweet to hit either on of those straights. Did OK on my matchups. Who would have thought Garcia had a 69 in him. He didn't even go to the range. Birdies the first three holes.

Missed fired on Estes against Riley. Did talk to him, Bob, on Sunday, he says he striking the ball better than ever, it's his putter that's letting him down. I asked how he did and he gave me a hole by hole report, just like we all do, was really cool.

Allenby and Donald played together for all four rounds.

Learned a new Gamble game for a par three. It's called horseracing. You pick a caddie bib color and whoever reaches the green first wins. Caddies caught on and the leader would stop right on the fringe and let another one go ahead of him.

Was another Hot, scenery galore, windy, suds filled Colonial.
