TheCooler, Lately, I don't take ANYTHING you say as serious.
*I* don't mind being bashed, it's my place and i actually like it. I learn from it. But, when a member is bashed in the handicapping forums, it's ****s everything up. I'm not going to have that, period.

When i was a little boy a kindly oldneighbor lady yold me " If u cant say something nice about somebody dont say anything at all".
Didn't give it much thought back then but they are indeed words of wisdom. In my humble opinion you serve no good purpose by bashing or offering negative comments about anyone.........ever!!!!! Again in my humble opinion its insecure people full of self doubt that think they can build themselves up by tearing somebody else down. I've been a lurker on thjis forum foer quite a while after being booted from another for posting too many winners and causing servers to overload 10 minutes to game time..........thats when i posted. I've had heated political disagreements with Ray and his politics but that in no way means i would bash him or criticize him. ..although if some one goes thru the archives i may have called him dumb.....sorry Ray.heat a the moment slip.......The man posts his stuff day after day and ya gotta respect that and he obviously does his homework. As has been said above get to know who is good mediocre or average and make ur own calls and accept respnsibility for your decisions. If u think Ray is so bad fade him and shut up.and retire to Panama and write us a post card.

It's just stupid some of the bashing crap you see in the handicapping forums sometimes, but you do a hell of a job cleaning it up. I guess some people just need to grow up.

Hey Jack hope you don't mind the ribbing some of us hand out in the General Forum to each other. To me at least it's like being with the guys, and giving each other chit. I'm more than happy to take a few shots as well as hand them out. It makes this place fun to those who have been around a while. The ones who know what we mean when we mention high roller, or hello there etc. At the same time, I do not bring that into the handicapping forums because the general forum is there for it. And I also don't bring up gambling records, personal attacks etc. I hope you don't take the crap we heave on HR/Cooler and stuff like that cause for most of us it's all in good humor (although few times wil turn personal like w/ cooler tonight).

Like I mentioned (See my thread in General Forum), just start another Forum for anything offbeat, critical, etc. This stuff draws interest, just look at all the posts whenever it occurs. Some of it doesn't seem to be so bad. After all, this is a volatile & emotional hobby we chose to partake in........some of it just seems natural, goes with the territory, so to speak. Just my .02
jack, i just met you and respect you and this business i use. And of course i use this forum for sending out info and gathering some. It seems as now there is only one sport playing that we have a new mix of people coming on and really taunting some of us older capers. We know most will be gone in a few weeks or months, because the bookies will be after them, or when they lose their last 100.00 on a basketball game, they will not be able to bet , so bye, bye. But maybe a charge would be the thing to do. Ever think about some type of pool that you get so many posts a day and you make money from the pool when you win the game and you pay when you lose the game. I would love it and i think us old timers would love the competition trying to beat it. I also think that after a few of the kids that keep shooting their mouths off and pissing some of us good capers off and possibly into leaving, like cooler. Everyone would pay 100.00 or more, make it affordable, because for numbers and marketing and profitability sake we do need a vast selection of age groups to always maintain strength and profit. when the money is gone from your account from posting losers, of course this will take time, but would work in the long run. The losers cannot talk but have access to read from the winners posts. This way everyones record would be posted every day and how much there up each day. It's all programming, just like poker. But everyday everyone would know where everybody stands and everyones %. Good capers would make a little money and bad would lose into the pool everyday to pay the winners. Because there is only so many of us who can actually show profit year after year, the losers pool would get to be so high that you jack could put up money or bonus, or weekly, monthly, or yearly contests. This would lure the best capers to the site and still serve as a function for the beginner all the way to experienced. This would make you different and better than all the rest. I would be interested in investing , not only as a member for wins/loses, but marketing and selling it. I know myself , my skills and my work ethic, and i would love to compete against the best win or lose. Anyways this is a idea that i would love to hear from other members. Tell me what you think if your still up.
