Money is pouring in on GBay but the line stays the same. I thought bookies wanted equal action on both sides? I know the sports mind doesn't go back much farther then a week but on Monday Night 9/27/10 Chicago beat Greenbay 20-17. Gbay had 18 penalties to Chicago's 5. 152 yards to 38. That is the only way this Shit quarterback Chicago team can beat Greenbay and if u recall that game people were up in arms on how badly it was officiated. (of course most of America bet Greenbay that night. Strange how the bad calls always go against the team that is heavily bet) Almost like the refs were told to do anything they could to make Chicago win.

Great post, Sponge. Thanks for the help :0074

So . . . . . .can you confirm that you're playing Chicago? Please get back to me before 6 PM Sunday.

TIA & YTB

There were a couple of questionable calls but no moreso than in almost every other game. I tried to find some video footage of the Tauscher hold (no such luck) after bleedingpurple brought it up and in the process came across a number of different Packer boards with comments on the game. Almost universally the comments on the game were "the Bears didn't beat us, we beat ourselves with dumb penalties", not "we won that game but the officials took it away from us".

And I'd also like an explanation for how the refs made GB fumble the ball and then made the ball inexplicably toe the line out of bounds in the last 3 minutes.

You can certainly make the argument that the only way the Bears won that game was luck, but that it was a fix is quite a stretch my friend.

what does the line tell me ????

what does the line tell me ????

I said self, doesn't matter who wins this gm; chi or seatt, gb will be the chalk..... the money has followed the pack the last two wks and won... the books need chi... if they made the pack the dog here the money would be as heavy on the pack and the chance for a house win goes down... I know some believe that one gm has nothing to do with the next but I think the rake comes out and pulls all that packer cash off the table.....this is one of the best lines I have ever seen for the books/house...... breaking news : they do look at the gm before and others leading up to big games.... Public perception has much to do with lines, they are trying to win the war, not every battle. this is a huge game for vegas... I'll take the side of the house.... Bears cover !!!!! There is a packer gambling virus out there, created by the events of the last two wks.... that bull shit that all lines are made to get equal amounts of cash on both sides... not in this one... the books are betting on chi..... by my count, the books won with pitt, chi & the jets last wk..... gb/atl was a toss up ... if vegas is vegas, one dog will cover this wk... can't tell you which one I love better....

I hope you are right but I could give a shit's less about a cover.. I need the Bears to win outright!!!

As it becomes more to game time, the more I like the pack and only because of variables..

Green Bay can win with just a passing game and not running game.. I don't believe Chicago can.

Chicago needs the variables of the ball bouncing their way. Chicago HAS TO HAVE a BIG turnover or a BIG special teams play to win IMO...

It's simple, if Chicago can't run the ball and or get a big special team play or turnover.... It's OVER.. They may get to Rodgers at times but the secondary for Chico can be burned..

The Pack's defense is light's out and people want to bring up the last two games well the Bears offense did nothing.. Pack's wasn't the best but their offense is more likely to break out of it considering Bears secondary.

Bobby it looks like i will pass here, see what happens in this game and then bet the second game. If Gbay covers i will be all over the Jets. If Chicago covers then it looks like i missed and opportunity with Chicago and will check out how much is wagered on Pitt to decide. I never said i was a great handicapper i just said people are getting cheated right in front of their face. 98 percent of sports bettors lose. People can't be that dumb unless their are shanighans going on. I really don't think the NFL wasnt to talk about a rapist for two weeks. Every year one of these games there is an upset and one usually goes to the public. Figuring out which one is the key. Letting the first game go is the smart move. Lets be real here. If this game was played straight Gbay would just wax them. Watching their last game on monday night a child could tell what the refs were up to. Cutler was throwing the ball up like he was punting and sure enuf most were pass interferences. :0008

bobby i will ask again. If the books want equal action on both sides why are they not moving the line towards GB? I talk to three books now and they all said they have nothing but GB money. Why isn't the line moving

Bobby if i had to go with the most trusted conscensus site out there in my opinion it is this one. As of now the numbers are

3:00 PM Green Bay -3.5 1543 63.47% Chicago +3.5 888 36.53% View View

63.47 percent on GBay but the line isn't moving

Get a grip all you Bear lovers. This may be the luckiest I've ever seen a medicore team get in one season.

They wouldn't have even made the playoffs if the Johnson TD actually counted like it should have.

They had 2 starters miss 1 game each the entire season and are completely healthy now.

They faced 3 back up quarterbacks throughout their season schedule.

Then they get a first round bye and play a 7-9 Seattle team.

I'm from Wisconsin, but I'm not a die hard Packer fan. I've been a Broncos fan since I was 5 (Yes I know they are a disaster). However, the Packers are simply the better team all around with exception to the special teams. The shit hole Soldier Field and weather may slow the Pack down for a brief period, but they will win going away late in the game. Cutler will turn the ball over a minimum of two times.

Good luck with all of your Bears bets as you're going to need it. There is a reason Vegas has GB as a 3 1/2 point favorite. If they weren't it wouldn't attract all of your Bear money.

I disagree everybody and their brother are banking on the fact that the OLD Cutler is going to show his soo called true colors...This guy is playing sound confident football..Don't get me wrong Im a Cal fan and love Rodgers but I just think Cutler is out to prove...Bears r the most confident team in footbal right now and will psychologically wear them down..Their coaching staff is much better and has 3 ex NFL head coaches on their staff (Rod Marinelli, Mike Martz & Mike Tice).
Special teams will be the key and this game will all be based on field position...

I agree with you that field position is the key to the game. If the Bears control field position it will be a very close game. If not the Packers will hand it to them.

And by the way I'm a huge Broncos fan so I'm very familiar with Cutler. He will gag in this position as he usually does in big games. I was a Cutler fan in Denver for the most part, but they had a great receiving cast including Brandon Marshall in his prime. The Bears have who? Olsen at Tight End and...Oh that's it. Woodson will take Olsen out of the game.

I don't see a corner covering Olsen. I'm assuming he'll be focused on corner blitzes or covering Knox.

Sound confident football.. Just because he lit up Seattle last week? What did he do in week 17 against the Pack? JUST HORRIBLE!!!!!!!

Pack will be a much better team than the Seahags D

But if you wanna talk about backup QBs, dude don't even compare Matt Flynn to the trainwreck that is Todd Collins. We would kill for Matt Flynn. I saw Flynn against New England and except for some piss-poor clock management at the end he looked like a very poised and capable backup. He sports a 60% completion percentage and 3 TDs to go along with 2 INTs. Now Collins on the other hand . . . well the only nice thing I can say about him is that he seems like a nice guy. He of the 37% completion percentage, he of the 5.9 QB rating, he who has strived to complete as many passes to the other team as to his own (5 INTs to go along with 10 completions). So, yeah, if Cutler goes down Sunday the Bears best chance of scoring will be to punt on 1st down and hope for a pick-6 or a Hester PR TD.

Well, not sure it would have mattered if Cutler had stayed in or not, but it really would have been nice if the Bears had noticed how bad Collins was and released him after the Carolina game. Hanie did more than anybody could have asked today but you wonder if things like that pick 6 could have been avoided if he had been getting a decent amount of reps with the first team for over half the season.

Nevertheless, congrats to Pack backers and fans. I'm proud of my Bears for fighting till the end and coming just 33 yards short of potentially shocking the world. Still, a loss is a loss and they're always heartbreaking when the stakes are this high.

really ironic how the bears got every break this year especially getting to go up twice against 3 string qbs end up having to play their 3rd string in nlf championship game. Bear defense does get the better of Rodgers I give them credit for that. I think and this may sound crazy mvp for this game was the packer punter he was amazing.
