So the day is going pretty good, I am out doing a site survey on a construction site, and my wife calls me.
She went to the grocery store and says she is ok but she dont want me to be upset.
Whenever she says that I know there is trouble.
She says a guy came up to her as she was putting the groceries in the car and started helping her unload the basket. After that he asks her for money and she says she dont have any. She starts getting into the car and he grabs her by the arm and trys to push her down into the front seat of the car. She manages to pull away somehow , closes the door and locks it.
What should I do . Do I call the cops she asks ?
She tells me she is ok and has driven away now. I tell her to leave and go home.
What does the guy look like ? He is white, short , stocky , has a red hooded sweatshirt with tan pants, does not speak good english and short brown hair. She says he acted kinda crazy like.
Another guy with him is short black hair.
It takes me about 50 minutes to drive there. In the meantime I am calling the Store and talking to the manager. She tells me they have security in the parking lot in a white truck. I am rather rude to her, and she says she will call the police to take a report.
I finally get there and drive around looking for security . No where to be found of course.
I go in the store. I ask for the manager who never comes out. I am pretty pissed at this point as they don't seem to give two chits about their parking lot security in broad daylight. Still no sign of cops.
I go back outside and go into a Blockbuster. While I am buying a few cokes, I tell the manager what happened and if they have seen security. No they say. They cant believe that happened.
I walk outside to get in my truck , I look up and I be damned there is the guy , fits the discription perfectly. He is with a older man and they are walking across the parking lot.
Hey I yell and they approach me. They tell me they are going to McDonalds. I ask them if they are asking people for money in the parking lot. Yes they say, a man gave us 5 dollars.
Did you put your hands on my wife about a hour ago ? Did you ask her for money and then push her . No I didnt, the guy says, he did it and he points to the other guy. So now I am sure this is the right guy.
I tell him not to move and wait there as the police are coming and he is going to jail. He says no no no and they both turn to run. I chase them a short distance and leap on the guy and we fall onto the asphalt. I get him in a choke hold and squeeze the air from his neck maybe harder than I should have .
The other guy starts hitting me with something and a crowd starts to gather. They are yelling what is going on ..... Just stay back I yelled several times.
The security guy shows up and he helps me hold the guy down. The cops come , take a statement , ask for my wife to come back and identify him. She drives back , Yep thats the guy.
Looks like were going to court.
Whats amazing to me is that I was able to find this dumb sum bitch and get the opportunity to
choke him down.
