Weigh-ins for Saturday?s Bellator 39 event took place today in Uncasville, Connecticut, as Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, challenger Pat Curran, and the rest of the MTV2-televised main card successfully made weight.

The official Bellator 39 weigh-in results were:

Champ Eddie Alvarez (154) vs. Pat Curran (154)
Bellator Lightweight Championship
Lyman Good (169.5) vs. Rick Hawn (170.5) (welterweight semifinal)
Toby Imada (155) vs. Patricky ?Pitbull? Freire (154.75) (lightweight semifinal)
Ben Saunders (174.5) vs. Matt Lee (174) (175-pound catchweight)

Got my internet and cable set-up after nearly a year without. Now i can watch the fights and mingle with my fellow degenerate gamblers....

I got Saunders, Hawn, Alvarez and Friere

i think everyone has alvarez in a parlay or two...i also tput good in a small parlay.....not sure about hawn just yet....


freire vs imada is a verrry interesting fight...verrry interesting...

There was a big line drop on the saunders fight so I jumped on lee at +375

got alvarez in parlays

Good action thus far. So far im 2-0 on my parlay. I hope to see these 2 other fights but I've got a date with a Tyra Banks lookalike in the next 15 minutes and I definately don't want to keep her waiting (if you catch my drift....)

I think Alvarez is a great fighter but hugely over-rated. He ain't a top 5 fighter like everybody thinks. Yes I know he should roll through Curran, but Curran is a tough cookie and may pull off the huge upset.

I like Alvarez.......he is a great fighter.....but top 5......hell no.


He should bet Curran easily.

The -600 fave got it done.

But keep in mind he won by decision against a guy ranked in the 40's.


Alvarez needs to fight better competition if he wants to crack top 5.


He ain't top 5.....not even close. Over-rated fighter for sure.
