"the bunker"
hale has serious height...and threw a nasty sub on some poor schmoe last week...but linderman impressed as well..strong guy with decent stand-up and cardio for a very un-buff dude....his lefty stance and straight shots were effective....a real grinder....

interesting bout...

The weigh in was pretty awesome between Hale and Linderman

Linderman was asked about the inverted triangle sub
Linderman said "he will never ever put a sub like that on me"
Hale stared at him like he wanted to rip his head off
No handshake

This is gonna be a good, old-fashioned slobbernocker

Mann should win, but he was awful at Shark Fights

I don't know much about the Brazilian, but I know his opponent Spoon is from Oklahoma (where the fights are tomorrow)

Brazilian better finish inside 3

thinking about linderman...gonna wait and see if the odds get better....

i like the fact that his only loss was as a full blown heavyweight...and he looked tough vs raphael davis...

let`s wait and see if the odds move...

Hale's only KO loss

He takes the ref down after the stoppage

:142smilie :142smilie :142smilie

I don't hold it against him though
only his second pro fight and fight was at superheavy

I'm with you all the way here. Linderman has looked really solid both in standup and wrestling.

Hale got that crazy sub and maybe thats why he is getting some respect here but that was flukey, imo. His standup is weak, wrestling is weak, takedowns are weak. And if he can't get this fight to the ground he is going to get ktfo.

Hale record appears misleading as well, he has been fighting total cans like this guy. Wtf did he do at the end, just give up?

I think Linderman's stand up is a sloppy mess.

Davis was killing him in the clinch until the heavy shots swung the bout. Linderman hits hard, but he is slow and has poor balance. Leans with every shot.

HOWEVER, I agree with you on his wrestling.

I watched footage (on youtube) of him slamming Mike Hayes all over the cage.

Linderman was much more impressive against Hayes, in my opinion, than he was against Raphael Davis.

Linderman trains wrestling with Rick Story - that might help him win this one.

Tough fight to call.

Both seem to be in good shape at the weigh in. I haven't seen Hale in a long bout, so maybe Linderman can wear him down.

But I see Hale has only been stopped once, at heavyweight in his second pro fight. Recently, since dropping to light heavy, he had a competitive bout with Antwone Britt. I gotta think Britt is more dangerous on the feet than Linderman.

Hale seems to be the guy Bellator is pushing - he was ringside last weekend, and has done several radio interviews this week. I can't find even one article on Linderman.

Hale's been a pro for 2 years longer than Linderman (since 2006).

Hale is a full time fighter, where as I think Linderman has taken time away from his day job to train for the tournament.

I am leaning Hale here. But it's hard to state with too much confidence, having only seen a bit of these two fighters.

I liked the way he was able to mix takedown attempts along with strikes. But yea, it's not pretty at all. but was

Was the the davis fight linderman's first at at ligh heavy?

Is there a video of this fight?

But isn't that just because he got that triangle? Obviously Bellator is going to take that and run as far they can with it.

I don't think they are backing him because they actually think he will be a successful or exciting fighter, per se.

that firstly the competition he was faced has been an altogether higher calibre. The guy hale fought in that vid has no business in mma. So even if he has been pro for longer, alot these fights are just like nothing. he might as well count the scrap he won at the bar on the weekend.

What makes me like linderman is that fekete was a strong wrestler and he came in as a big favorite, expected to be able to control the fight, and I gotta like linderman's wrestling here. I figure this line would not be the same if not for that triangle hale got.

I feel on the ground with wrestling, or standing is good for linderman. am I off base to think that linderman gets the KO if they remain standing?

Very good stuff - you got me thinking here.

No, unfortunately no video of the Britt-Hale bout.

Yes, the Davis fight was Linderman's first bout at light heavy. And I thought he looked much better at yesterday's weigh-in. Perhaps he is now more accustomed to the lower weight.

I actually think, standing, this could go either way. Either guy getting caught and KO'ed. If the majority of the bout is fought on the ground, I gotta favor Linderman. I don't think he will get caught in a sub as easily as Fekete. He seems to be very strong on top.

"the bunker"
both these guys are huge at the weight....and have fought some "decent" fighters....

what shocked me about linderman was his cardio for a sloppy looking dude....he just kept coming at davis...wore him out....kept hitting him with that straight left from the southpaw stance........i got a big country nelson vibe from the guy...he out-physical-ed davis....and davis has a few solid wins of his own...

he used to be a 250 pounder...i guess not dragging that wagon around makes a difference.....

that sub from hale was crazy....but the close loss to britt looks less impressive considering britt went on to lose 3 of his next 4(albeit vs good fighters...the lone win was over scott lighty who just got lit up by lorenz larkin)....still,he hung with britt and britt is no gimme...

not trying to coerce anyone into a linderman wager...i decided to go small at even money...don`t have a strong feeling about darch/perez tonight in boxing so i decided to have some fun with linderman.......this looks like a toss-up and hale has a pretty solid submission game that will make him dangerous for as long as this goes...

the co-main events look like solid match-ups and should be very fan friendly...
