In the rough off the tee, he went for the career shot that would get him an eagle and win the event at -10. He put in the water in front of the green. He, like most people, thought -9 or -10 would be the mark. Now we know that a 9-iron to 100 yards and he would have had a very good chance of getting up and down and winning this event.

cheers for that, funny really but suppose i can relate. obviously on a far lesser scale but lost a couple of Board Comps doing exactly the same. human nature i suppose but hey-ho, on to next week.
