Maybe ive hit anerve with you somewhere along the way. Whatever the case its being reported nationwide.
No fucking kidding the ceo of best buy did not say to raiseprices but at the end of the day the name on the side of the business is Best Buy.

Woody, just because I don't agree with you on this means you "Hit a nerve". I just feel it's being turned into to something its not.
Best Buy is a electronics company that sells bottle water in a cooler. I doubt many people said "hey there's a hurricane coming, we need to run down to Best Buy and stock up on water". Someone in the Media saw something off that a manager or employee did and ran with it. They took a non story and turned it into a circus in my opinion, that's all.
If you want to call Best Buy "Greedy" have at it. I feel someone made a honest mistake and Best Buy is taking it on the chin for it :toast:

Hey in All honesty an hdmi for 49.99 is the true rip off. I bought three on amazon w gold plating for 3 dollars.
The same picture is posted at reddit with 1061 comments.
Obviously the sign is not approved by their marketing staff and hand written. The system sku price is pushed out to the terminals from corporate so a manager can not get by on increased sales without potential blow back.
I agree, best Buy is not the culprit, but and a big but,it was definitely emphasized and exclamated incorrectly.
I know their retail buyer has spent some time on the phone with the product manager as all POP marketing materials must be triple approved from all partner providers.
This sign caused a lot of corporate staff heart burn and odds are it was an employee seeing potential upsides.
