Major--I am also from the land of the bluegrass and am an ambassador of Maker's Mark. Me and a couple of my friends were used in a Maker's Mark commercial that a Ad agency was using to try and win the account. I have the tape here, and it is hilarious. We talk about why we drink Maker's and about our first experience, blah, blah, blah. My roomates got Bill Samuels to call their dad on his birthday last year. Their dad ONLY drinks Makers and buys it by the case for his house. He didn't believe it was actually Samuels until after about 10 minutes on the phone.

If anyone has not been to a wine event or bourbon tasting, you should treat yourself. It is usually $15-$75 to attend, but it is well worth the money if you like to enjoy different tastes.

Johnny Walker Blue Label is very good scotch. The winning owner of the KY Derby receives a bottle to celebrate. It is very drinkable even for non-scotch drinkers.

Good luck, FM in your decisions.

Always liked Old Grand Dad Bourbon. Actually having one right now.

When I was in college we used to drink Mark Twain bourbon. Get it for about 5 bucks a bottle. Talk about some good rot gut bourbon!

Bluegrass!

Don't tell anyone, but I actually went to Nashville to see these two feminine looking characters in concert. Opening act was a group called "Berlin", who had a decent lookin' blond as their lead singer. Two weeks before, I found myself at Opryland checking out "Tears for Fears" with an opening act by the name of "The Adventurers"! :D :D Boy, I miss the mid 80's when there were some decent tunes on the radio!:D  :D
